I'm so underwhelmed by everybody tonight. I don't believe that any of them actually want to be there. Is it just me? It's been pretty dull all round, right?

Yeah it comes to something when the big belter is the most inspiring person in the competition, normally Sam Bailey would be called karaoke cruise ship style cheese and booted out in the third week.

Hannah was particularly poor and i normally like her.

Not a vintage show certainly - at this stage of the competition it should be much better. Too many strained voices and forgotten lyrics.

Looking at the catchup at the end and it's shows what an awful week it's been. Time to put the show out of its misery and come up with something NEW!

Yep. Everyone lacked energy tonight.

The inappropriate song choices aren't helping either. And the godawful styling!!

No I thought it was a good show and YES even Sam C made a good job despite nasty comments on this forum but then People have rubbished Tamera and Nicolos both 16 and both good.

Probably the worst one yet this series for me. I was incredibly disinterested.

That was shocking,Sam C says he was taking a risk playing & singing (basics to a average pub singer) & then completely loses his timing in front of millions of viewers & ends up pretending to play, Tamera forgets her lines & stands there like a complete lemon, Hannah & Sam B turns it into a scream fest, Rough Copy were just plain dull & the other two boys sang ok versions of their songs. Is this really the best talent out of 100,000 applications for this programme?

I have only watched this twice this series when I used to really like the show. What has happened to it? Some of those performances were awful. I think simon cowell needs to drop this format now it is tired.

Awful, all of them.

No one to get excited about this series, and not even a joke act!? Bleh.

I actually wished there was a joke act! Perhaps the absence of a joke act changes the dynamic of the show? It was all very pedestrian.

It wasn't a good show but I'm a little tired of the misery on this forum every week. People are always complaining, cheer up a bit! The singers are quite good this year!

The main problem with tonight was the song choices. Viva La Vida AGAIN, Your Song AGAIN, Someone Like You AGAIN. It's all the same artists over and over, shake it up! What about some DIFFERENT SONGS by some DIFFERENT ARTISTS for a change. I've heard enough Coldplay, Adele, Elton etc... to last me a life time.

I think tonight was possibly the worst episode in the history of the live shows.

Well that really was the weakest show and line-up I've seen since the show started.

Tamera forgot her words halfway through

Luke's Elton John's ''your song '' was too bigger song for him

Sam C cocked the notes up on his guitar at the start

Hannah shouted her song and was average

Sam Bailey wasn't so good tonight

Rough Copy were very rough

Nicholas was the best of the weak bunch this week

It shouldn't be too surprising for you that the publishing rights for the song choices every week are pretty much all owned by Sony/ATV Music, sister company of the same Sony Music that works with Syco in getting the show together and who then market etc. the X Factor acts. Since they purchased the publishing side of the failed EMI they also now have the rights to the Beatles catalogue, hence why Beatles songs also now appear. The endless stream of Whitney and MJ covers on the X Factor also results in a jump of sales in the originals. More kerching in a show all about kerching and only kerching.

So no mystery really. A bigger mystery for me has to be why they replaced Sharon Osborne with Angela Lansbury

Worst week of this series for me, for sure. No interesting, original song choices, no memorable, standout performances. Just bleurgh.
