I got one when I first joined but I don't watch any. I wouldn't sign a petition just so everyone out there knows because I don't like them either. (no offence of course- each to their own).

I'm not sterotyping. It's just, I'm gay and most of the US soap fans that I know are also gay guys...

...and being a fan of Dynasty/Colbys is enough, that's a US soap. I can never understand how people can be fans of something so outrageously camp and OTT as Dynasty and at the same time be fans of something like Eastenders. The camp, OTT drama is what I love, hence my obsession with US soaps, but I can't go from watching a US soap to a UK one. UK ones seem so boring and plain compared. I mean Eastenders isn't exactly Dynasty is it?

I grew up on Corrie, Brookside and Neighbours. I have always enjoyed the British soaps and it was only out of boredom that i happened upon Sunset Beach one saturday afternoon. Ever since then i have loved US Soaps as well because they are different, and i like a range of different soaps.
Safra it was kind of the same for me. I grew up watching Eastenders and Corrie as my mum is a fan of both. I happened to stumble across the Sunset Beach omnibus on a boring Saturday afternoon back in 1999. Ever since then I have been a US soap freak and don't watch UK soaps anymore. Infact, I probably couldn't even tell you who is in the casts of them these days. I just stick wth my B&B, Y&R and Sunset Beach and that's it. UK soaps just seem to have lost their appeal to me when I discovered the US soap.
