I have just reconnected my TalkTalk Youview box back to the internet. I decided to check for software upgrades (last check Nov 4). The box downloaded a long 15 minute programme and then rebooted. It seems I can record and playback UK Drama.
Man Software 70.30.07
Comp software 174
Platform493
Is this the November upgrade?

Seems to be. If you have any of the boosts, have the new channels appeared in your epg?

Sorry no boosts. I only use it as a PVR in the bedroom . My wife likes watching UK Drama so I have not had the box connected for a couple of weeks. We have been using an old TopUp Tv Thomson box which does work a lot faster and give a better picture. The manufacturers software seems the same 70.30.07 as TalkTalk state for the October 30th upgrade. Has anyone else tried recording and playback of UK Drama?

Yes that is the last software upgrade which was rolled out in the couple of weeks up to 11 November.
The prob with Drama was fixed in this update so you shouldn't have any trouble recording from this channel.

Thanks for that. It was just no-one else had posted that the UK Drama record fault had been fixed.
I used the box on November 4th and done a update check then but UK Drama still did not record!
Funny thing about UK Drama is I have a Evesham PVR which has behaved faultlessly for over 7 years, When I switch it on (at the wall socket) it reboots but always deletes channel 20 UK Drama from the list. I have tried all methods short of reformatting the hard drive to get channel 20 to stay on. When Ch20 has been rescanned back into the box it will record.

If it is an Evesham PVR160 then see this method

Many thanks but I have already tried that. I even tried using Moel-y-parc transmitter but that still deleted UK Drama.
I was just commenting on the fact that something must be different on UK Drama to cause the Youview box to originally not record and the Evesham box to delete the channel.
