I know Sam is not the best singer in the world but I think that headline is really harsh!!

I thought Sam C would be popular with The Mail on Sunday - he's a private school educated, pretty boy from the Home Counties and not an immigrant or on benefits!!

There's a slight problem when you say you're going to play guitar & that is you need to be able to play the thing in the first place, to lose timing with the band after a few barrs is pathetic just lucky he was'nt playing solo & had the band playing so he could blag is way through, is this really the best they can find for the show? He would'nt be even up to scratch to play open mic down my local, everyone who jumps up to play is ten times better than him but at least he was entertaining in a fuuny kind of way.

What's so harsh about that headline? He did mess up. And messing up isn't exactly a harsh way of putting it.

I'm not a fan but I don't think he did too badly. That song was crying out for him to use the guitar so he thought he would give it a go. I think Hannah and Tamera were far worse.

I don't think it was harsh at all, it was factually correct. Which is a rare thing for the DM.

Utterly naff.
I'm no expert but Faith doesnt sound a very difficult song to play. To cock up the first few bars and then resort to miming is unprofessional.
Yes we all cock up but it was his choice, so he must take the blame.

The show is proper gunning for him this week isn't it. Red and black treatment, Garys nice comments, the song, the terrible VT and now the headlines. Poor Sam

Same here. I heard the guitar was a rogue move. Plus, it's not very hard to not make him hear the music starting, with the in-ears and all...

... and oh yeah, red and black and that horrible shirt.

I don't know why, but I really enjoyed his performance last night. I even sent a vote his way (I did my usual Sam B vote too) !

I hope he stays in a bit longer.

It's not clear what actually happened. He said he "lost the click track". Does he mean he missed the point where he was supposed to start or that he couldn't hear the click track at all? It's either his fault entirely or not his fault at all and nobody outside the show knows which it is.

Either way, it's got nothing to do with his ability to play a guitar and the feed from it was cut more or less straight away so anyone drawing conclusions there is being extremely ignorant.
