Thank you for doing this by the way! Charleston is the dance on the show that I know least about and I'm always a bit dubious as to how much the judges and pros on Strictly actually know so this is brilliant.

Thank you for reading my waffle, and finding me the link!
It goes like this: boys own segment, some walking, some knee wiggling, close up of Anton, more knee wiggling, some crossed over walking (this might be a weird interpolation of 'strutting') and then an authentic combo: 'knee slaps' 'fall off the log' 'skates' 'Susie Q's' none of it is particularly well grounded, all a bit skippy, the Suzy Q's are a mixed bag (Artem is best at it, but on the back row, baffling) here is a Suzy Q for reference, they pop up fairly often in celeb Charlestons:
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QEQOpr6...%3DQEQOpr6Y8Q4 (this is a how to vid so scroll to about 5.10 for complete step at usual speed)
Suzy Q is generally harder with the left foot in front but the pro boys don't even attempt it, they travel back to the left with some good old catch-all behind side fronts and then do some little runs. Cute, not hard, not particularly Charleston.
Then they do a nice Charleston variation with extended kick on the first four beats (sweep charleston) but the second four beats should rock step kick down and it isn't, I don't doubt they can do this, it's an improver/intermediate variation, so someone either didn't know it to teach it right or didn't bother to teach it right. It's a cute fudge. They follow this up with a contemporary ballet style hop over variation thing and something else pretty but not authentic (arm out arm out step step hop ball change? It's a bit tap actually). Then the girls come on.
I can't see what happens with their legs their because the camera cuts way to quick to their gorgeous faces, when it pans out they might be doing a sexy version of the 'shoe shine' 0.23

but if they are it quickly turns into some 1920s style model poses. There's a bit I suspect might be good but the camera is on their faces. Still, it's cute. Then they do some more generic walking back off and a new formation of boys comes on.
It gets a bit Gene Kelly here with the mops (
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DlkrN4D...%3DDlkrN4DXvO0) and the spinning Anton (I think something went wrong there) and then there is a bit more of the 'Skate' move (is Anton on the wrong foot or is that on purpose?)
The the girls come back on and they all do some kick-kick ball change stuff, followed by some Charleston basics then in the fraction of a second before the celebs come on they do what appears to be a crap version of 'rocks', followed by 'spank the baby' (one of my faves but its a blink and you'll miss it moment).
The celebs come on and dance from the waist up with some aeroplane arms. Pan back out, pros are doing some side stepping with kicks and digs (is this meant to be crossovers?) followed by a bit more spank the baby but this time it's interspersed with side steps and not as cool, boo!
Then some more posturing while the celebs descend the stairs, then some basics and some running man type kicks (kinda like skip ups but with the legs in the wrong direction), then a spin and it's over.
Authentic step count 11. I think, but it's hard when there are lots of people on screen!
(Rocks, cross overs, spank the baby, skates, skip ups, fall off the log, knee slaps, and Suzy Q's are all this vid - not everyone is fantastic in it but it's a clear representation of all the steps)
