Good strong song from an album that ultimately is not as hip as Celine wants it to be but this song is good.

Frank Sinatra had a number one hit in 1966, with "Strangers in the Night" at the age of 51.

He had 40 top ten hits in all.

What a flop, she didn't make it into the top ten!

I doubt you need many sales to make it in the top 20 anyway.

nonsense... singles sales are higher now than they even were in the 'golden age' of sales in the 70s.

Yeah what a total flop. I mean coming back with your first song in years and hitting the top twenty, I bet the record label are fuming 😉

I know ! plus she had an x factor appearance so you would have thought her single would do better.

her record label probably wont be 'fuming' as they will rely on album sales.

14 is a good position for this song but it should be top 10 as its one of the best songs she has recorded, I revise my prediction and I think it may peak at No. 11 on Sunday.

Congrats to her, but I always thought she was older than 45!

She's only a year older than JLo & Mariah.

She's done well to get a top 15 single and top 5 album. Her generation receive zero airplay these days and she didnt even bother to make a video. Her fanbase are clearly still substantial. Her performance on Strictly in a few weeks should give the Album a Christmas push.

Album only down one place better than gaga. Celine was always an album artist. Given the lack of video and radio play I was shocked it entered this high.

45! The shock of it. Honestly, the disgrace of it.

I'd say she's in her prime. I bought her first No1 single, Think Twice. That took ages to reach the top, including 3 weeks at No2 before getting there for a further 7. Classic.

But Vera Lynn was 92 when she reached No1 in September 2009, albeit with an album.

I wonder how many people realise this sobering fact though. If Madonna gets another No1 hit record, and why not, her last was only in 2008, she would become the oldest female solo singer to hit the top. Seems impossible to believe. Cher holds the record from 1998, although it really is surprising that she only had to be a reasonably youthful 52 to achieve it anyway.

Madonna has not had a top 10 hit since 2009.

Good for the CD soundalike Sam Bailey, perhaps she should record it.

Not in the UK, that went to Emeli Sande (unfortunately ) However she was the 4th which is still pretty good. She was 23rd overall.
