In short No. afaik the custom firmware cannot either

The lcns are dictated by the Freeview epg. You can delete channels but not change the lcns ( logical channel numbers).

In short if you look at a published programme guide like the Radio Times you can guarantee that the listed channel number will get you the channel. eg 101 will always be BBC1-HD. If you could the mind boggles how series recording could work from the epg

Except you got it wrong 101 is BBC 1 (SD). BBC1 HD is 108.

On the standard firmware you can setup a favourite list which can contain channels in any order you want. However, the LCN's will remain the same. One problem is that it will default to making the standard 'TV' list active if a channel is selected which is not included in the current active favourite list.

With the custom firmware you can use the 'renumber' package which can renumber the LCNs. This can be useful for swapping the SD channels with their HD equivalents (1 <=> 101, 2 <=> 102 etc.). This will ensure that the HD channels are always first in the 'TV' list.
