My iPad isn't repairable, according to the Applestore, nor is it covered by my existing extended warranty (accidental damage) so I've put in my first ever home insurance claim.
They are coming to fetch the iPad and if they agree it's not reparable, I have acc damage cover so they say they may replace it.
It's a 32Gb wifi and 3G retina iPad 3, a model that Apple don't sell any longer. It wasn't working too well with iOS 7, despite it being only 18 months old - something that the Apple 'genius' acknowledged.
I presume if the insurance co replaces it with an iPad, it's very unlikely to be the new Air one? Anyone with any experience of what to expect? They use their own supplier, not Apple, for any replacement.
I'm wondering if I should have put in a claim!
