The longest wait .....

Sorry if this has already been covered by someone else, but why oh why do we have to go through that infernal, and seemingly eternal, wait when the results are being announced?

The time in between each result seems to get longer every week.

Just had to get that off my chest.

It's the law of tv voting competitions. If it annoys you check out the spoiler on Saturday night and fast forward!

They do it on all these shows, I think there should be a 30 second maximum, any longer and the presenter gets gunged. That'd stop them.

It's called the 'dramatic pause. It's supposed to create tension, but has become a horrible TV cliché.
