Is the ignorance or trying to get a rise? Anyway If fm's are going to start belittling someone, at least get the facts right.

I also see that now it's coming to light that Sophie is quite popular the knives are slowly being unsheathed. And if not her lets go for her Pro. Beyond childish.

The knives have long been drawn.

I'm a Brendan-basher. I admit it. But Sophie is my favourite celeb. I haven't voted for her yet but will in the later stages of the competition as I want her to make the final. I think she's great but I can't abide her partner. The only qualm I would have is if I have to choose between her and Patrick or her and Susanna. In both those cases I'd vote for the other, much though I love Sophie.

I don't really get the scorn for a pro. They are all very talented and all want to win. Of course I understand that each of us will like some less than others, for instance I'm not keen on Anton and I find Artem clinical and soulless but I still respect their talents.

There have been years I've not liked Brendan's partnerships or him a great deal but I think since Jo Wood he's been a very nurturing partner. Others won't but to start making up stories about there being hostility in a partnership is a bit pathetic. I mean we can all see what we want to if we try hard enough right?

NB must be hard to like one half of the couple and not the other.

On the flip side to that, at least they aren't being speculated about in the Intimacy thread - so, silver linings and all that.

Yes it was a silly remark, but when you in charge of something and trying to look after people you tend to see yourself as older and wiser than your charges.

I get a bit fed up with Brendan bashing. I saw his live show earlier this year. Apart from being pro dancer, he's a reasonable singer and a good MC who engages the audience. A big ego ? Maybe, but he can entertain and that's what it's about.

I agree. I think it's called "projection". The way some people 'read' all kinds of intrigue into a 'look' and a 'hug' and create silly hidden meanings is hilarious.
