Well could it be the military factor? I find war deplorable.

Hardly....he's smart and knows that the viewers vote the weakest to do the trials...you think he wants to do that?

Absolutely agree. So he's camp...get over it!!!

He's camp as hell but was very anti these type of shows for years, but suddenly wishes to do one. He's a socialist through and through, but likes the crudities of capitalism to an extent of desiring a second home in the west country, in addition to his in Primrose Hill, which he prefers to call Caaamden Taan!

He's sold out to the highest bidder.”

Spot on

I wonder if he is excused trials bcause of his 'bad back'

lets face it, he seems to be allowed quite a few sick days from the Wright Stuff because of his 'bad back'

Not a question of being silly...I am not committed to watching the whole programme until the end anyway. I watch for who I find interesting. Matthew is sharp and interesting...none of the others are in that league imo.

I think he does
he commented last year about Helen being stupid for showing she was scared as the punters would just vote for more of her

he has commented for quite a few years about celebs in reality shows, slagging them off for doing them (usually he comments that they only do them because of the money) I wonder what his excuse is

Depends on how you measure 'interesting'.

I don't know enough about any of them to label them so, though Steve Davies even entering when he has no reason to do so, is interesting in itself imo.

So interesting is still to be tested imo.

I wonder indeed.

I honestly don't care what these celebs lives have been before the show. I judge them on how they cope in the jungle and hopefully in a deciphered and dissected way found on forums like this

That's what interests me more............the dissection of the editing of the show and how it promotes one or denounces the other. That's what's always interested me about so-called RTV shows that are not reality in the least.

So interesting days ahead for our two main stand out contestants.............Matthew and Joey.

John Noel, the agent of Big Brother contestants

he knows his way around reality programmes and what to do to make a winner

he practically owned anyone who had anything to do with BB

I was surprised by his tears. The same man who outed John Leslie as a 'rapist' needs a bit of backbone

Yes, we all need to settle back and accept that these two knobs will be doing all tasks for the next week or so!

I bow to your knowledge slappers. What a connection indeed.

What the heck have we to make of this show? And it's only just begun?

Has he been advising him how to loose? Wright is very well known and known for being quite hard nosed and cynical about this kind of show so 'acting' the scared one is preposterous for someone like him. If this is anything to go by he cannot possibly stay for long or win anyway.

I reckon he's being himself to a degree and he is an interesting person with a ton more substance than a lot of the reality TV fodder in there so I believe / hope he lasts a while.

The thing is that without live feed, it's just going to be ITV's version of Matthew Wright along with everyone else. Therefore no reality to their own characters at all.

I just hate that live feed and real 'reality' is a thing of the past.

I don't like him...I really hope he's there till the end and learns a huge reality lesson.
I don't even know why he still has a tv show.
He's nasty.

Yeah, he reminds me of Brian Conley - and look what happened to him.

Unless it's all an act and he'll make a dramatic change in a few days.

Me too. I know that was edited and we were only shown the cameras they wanted to show and a lot of the conversation was muted but at least we got a better idea of what was going on. What do we get now? An hour or 90 minute show which when you take out the ads, Ant and Dec, the reading out of phone numbers, the trial etc, we probably only see an edited 20 minutes or so of the previous 24 hours..

He still has his show because the show itself is the best (certainly in its time-slot) on TV at the moment.

As a person - one minute I dislike him - the next I really like him - whatever though - on his show he's always entertaining (and no-one who has filled in for him in his absence is a patch on him).

TWS is one of the most underrated shows on TV - and besides - when Jeremy Kyle is on the other side - I know which one I'd rather watch on my two days off a week.

OMG indeed on so many levels.

As a regular viewer of his show - over many years - I have heard about his marriages, mother, tragedy of his nephews death, his ailments etc etc - so part of me feels quite connected to him in a way. More so than the other contestants.

Knowing his distain for these shows I was gobsmacked to hear he'd gone into the jungle. He has never come across as the most resilient of people physically and this is perhaps one of the tougher shows. I'm also surprised at how camp he actually is too - (but also amused).

As for how fragile he is appearing at the moment - that has shocked me. He really is combative on his show and verbally able to take on anyone he feels has annoyed him. How can he appear so weak now.

Think he will make very interesting TV viewing as at the moment he appears a very complex man and anything could happen especially if he is chosen as this years victim for all the trials. Lowri Turner will be in hysterics!

I think Matthew will be interesting viewing. He's not shy of having a strong opinion and can easily shut someone up if he's had enough of them (my dad thinks he's a dictator because he sometimes ignores and shuns opposing opinions to his) lol.”

So easy to be the big man when in a studio surrounded by his crew. It'll be interesting to see how big a man he is in this scenario having wimped out quite a bit already.
