I think the dancers were just happy to appear on tv in front of 11 million people. The support dancers for some of the routines weren't name checked either but I don't notice any faux outrage about that
What's this 'faux outrage' thing? I find it odd that whenever someone expresses a negative opinion, inevitably, someone comes out with a comment about 'faux outrage'. Or the other DS cliche where a poster is accused being jealous of someone because they don't think the sun shines out of that person's backside!

It is possible to be unhappy about something or complain about something without being outraged. I don't see any outrage in this thread, just people pointing out that there was no namecheck given to the dancers at the beginning of the results show. I noticed that and, no, I'm not outraged by it - I just find it odd that there wasn't a namecheck given, especially as guest performers (i.e. people who don't work on Strictly) normally are given a namecheck.

Hi Paace she danced with Brendan on Sat and Sun and was one of Antons air hostesses and wore a black wig in Natalies charleston

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i5...psee84e303.jpg you can see her with Brendan in that shot

Had to laugh at this tweet from Nicole Cutler

think a lot of the dancers were from Keiths dance school (about 20 couples) - and someone I know (former pupil) from Burn the floor was one of the extra - He was delighted to be part of show not bothered by not being mentioned and looking at pics had a ball. A dance teacher friend and mum of one of the young dancers just texted me to ask if I saw her and loved it all again no moans about not mentioning who they were

There's a "pre-show hugs" photo of Susanna with Camilla on Susanna's twitter which clearly indicates that Camilla was performing also

https://twitter.com/susannareid100/s...041089/photo/1

I don't recall them mentioning her being there which seems odd to me.
I did have to squint and double take when I thought I saw Camilla pushing in the circular podium thing (in a sort of supermarket trolley manner) in during the first pro number, and had to check her twitter to make sure it was def her dancing in flesh. I then realised it was her that was blowing the whistle too at the very beginning of the number when had just presumed it was a member of a band. I know Camilla now works behind the scenes as one of the choreographers, but thought it was nice for her to get a cameo.

Then as for Joanne, I didn't realise that she'd be dancing with one of our Pros (when it was mentioned she'd be dancing at Blackpool). I just presumed she'd be doing something with her own Pro partner (like an exhibition performance) and we'd see her in that performance on the results show. But after having read Aliona's Twitter and being confused as to why she wasn't going to be at Blackpool, I then realised the person dancing in her place on both the Pro numbers with Brendan had been Joanne!

I thought from afar Joanne looked very slick, but a shame we didn't get to see her face at closer shot at least once, as it was always so quick or fast on and off her and Brendan. In the first Pro number she was just all bouncy blonde hair and no face.

I am not sure if all the dancers used where from cliftons. The reason i say this is i am from nr grimsby and until this yr my kids have danced and compeated in ballroom comps, the kids where in istd regulation dance costumes, which is what my kids compeated at. The clifton dance school where never st any of these comps as they teach another dance syllabus, cant rember think its isd but not sure lol, pain killer fog. Also there is not that number of boy dancers in this area at that age, in the dance comps that cover from her over to leeds and sometimes manchester, there are 5 boys in my sons level and maybe another 4 at a higher level, and i would say from the dancing level this was bronze and above from the style and finish. They where great dancers but i would be surprised if all the kids came from cliftons. I must say cliftons is a great school for ballroom and its great to see a local dance school get mentioned, just a shame that my boy is now 10 and stopped dancing due to being bullied at school and also losing practice time to homework.
those costumes are regulation for all Juveniles regardless of who they dance with (istd, Idta etc) for competitions the one rule applies to all competitors - think there must have been a few extra couples in with the Clifton ones as I know of a couple of the them from the competition scene elliot Harwood and Mia Holden and their teacher is Mark Lunn

yeah camilla did tweet she was doing a small bit on the show and then tweeted a pic - then realised she was a show girl

I am sure the juniors had a great day out, meeting all the Strictly judges, professionals and celebrities. Zoe should get three of them for her panel on ITT later in the week!

Joanne has mentioned on Twitter that she was dancing with Brendan for the 'Ballroom Blitz' routine. I didn't spot her in the opening number, but I guess she might have been with the pros if that was the case.
I presume she danced with Brendan in all the pro dances as there was no Aliona this week.....

She also danced with Fiona and Anton and Natalie and Artem (in a black wig)

All main stream competitions have the same regulation dress for juveniles, whether medallist or Open Circuit, not just ISTD. I think there is one organisation that lets kids wear what they like, but even they have to adhere to the rules if they compete elsewhere.

I wasn't keen on the child performers. I don't like to listen to child singers either. I'll wait to see and hear them when they are fully trained and ready.

They were fortunate to get the opportunity. Not being mentioned was definitely nowhere near rude.

I'm sure they didn't expect a mention and were more than happy to be there, but a quick mention would have been courteous.

We go to dance in the Tower several times a year and when we saw the older dancers, we were watching carefully to see if they were some of the regulars but saw no familiar faces. Then later than evening a dancing friend told me they were from the Cliftons' school. Fantastic opportunity for them to dance on the best floor in the world! Junior Blackpool used always be held in the Tower but moved to the Winter Gardens a few years ago. Loved the opening number, best ever, it showed that dancing is for everyone.

For those who don't know, Jason Gilkinson was one of the instigators of Burn the Floor. It started in Australia as a cabaret at one of Australia's premier competitions, and went on to grow from there. Jason and his partner Peta Roby were amazing dancers - their rumba to Titanic theme was spellbounding.

All the dancers, young and old alike, were from Kevin's parents' dance school in Grimsby.
sorry not all of them I know one pair of children were from my local dance school.

I would love to see Kevin's sister dancing. Could someone point out where and when she was in the beginning of the show.
