Who ever thought that was real is as thick as he pretends to be.

Shameful.

He clearly shows some intelligence, if he were that special he'd be acting like a 4 year old

I can't believe the rest of the camp are falling for it either.

One day in, and it's already the Thicko's show. And more of the same tomorrow now that he's up for the task again. And meanwhile, the rest of them - Lucy barely even got a look-in tonight - might as well not even be there.

Absolutely pathetic.

Charming. Never watched TOWIE, so why wouldn't we think he is that thick.

I've never watched TOWIE, this is the first time I've ever seen him on screen, and his act is as obviously fake as his comedy gnashers.

His whole persona is blatantly scripted. "Confrontated" indeed. Yawn...

God, I hope so. Surely him and Laila can see him and his bullshit coming a mile off...

Missed last nights kick off show...who is Lucy? What camp is she in?

Yes, it clearly was. Unfortunately there's a few people that fall for his act.

Yet another Joey bashing thread - why can't they all be lumped together? If you had been brought up only seeing digital clocks, why would you know how to tell the time on an ordinary clock? Joey was brought up without a Mum so perhaps no-one thought to teach him. I like Joey and hope he wins.

Lucy is who play's Chas Dingle in Emmerdale, she came across well last night, but for some reason the spinoff show portrayed her as a bitchy women which she isnt, and tonight she was erased from history i wonder why, is she a threat to the chosen one's chances...

My 6 year old can tell the time and it's something that kids learn at primary school so not sure what him growing up without a mum has to do with it.

The giveaway that it was fake was that he had no trouble with the minutes but pretended to struggle with the hour.

Ahh, I missed last nights show and don't watch Emmerdale so wouldn't have known even if I'd seen her. As you say, she was erased because I don't think I seen her on camera or I'd have gone "who dat?" Unless you're the favourite though or hot, people tend to get left off episodes. I'm sure David will be left off an episode and so will Laila etc. Only Amy, Matthew & Joey will be guaranteed to get shown atleast 1 VT per night and Rebecca as she is this shows Olympian which all reality shows have had since 2012 (and last years castings probably being too late to capitalise)

I really don't think he's putting it on I genuinely think he's like that .

You're absolutely spot on there! Just said the same thing to my other half!

I'm pretty sure I remember a bit from Celebrity Juice (not a show I watched, but caught a bit of) where the joke was about Joey, who was a guest, wearing a watch on his ankle. He stood up, lifted his trouserleg to show a watch, saying that you can just lift your foot to see what time it was. Why would he do that if he couldn't read a watch face???

ETA-I've just found the video.

It's at the end, the bit I'm talking about. To be fair, at the end when asked what time it was he does say he can't tell the time, so who knows if it's true. That said, if he can't tell the time, why wear a watch anywhere, especially the ankle?

I've recently learned that 3 people I know can't read a "normal" clock face. When I asked them why they said that all the clocks in their houses were digital and had no reason to learn. I was quite shocked because they all come from intelligent and affluent families.

Why would he pretend, especially if he wants to impress Amy? Also, say he was dyslexic, could this affect his reading of numbers too? Perhaps it's more common than people admit to.

I know someone who can't read an analogue clock. That being said, Joey is obviously playing up to it. Steve saw right through it, but he's been cast as a villain - as has Lucy - so his contribution mightn't hold much.

There was a wonderful post from yesterday, Joey: "Is a carrot an animal? Der I'm just so fick!" that made me giggle.

He's thick enough to think we believe his dumb act, but not thick enough not to be able to tell the time. Even Jade Goody and Brian Belo, two of the biggest fakers on TV, didn't fake that one.
