Like I said, it was like a scene from 50 first dates where Adam Sandler pretends he can't read to get Drew Barrymore's attention except Adam Sandler acted it out better. I don't think anyone there actually believed he couldn't tell the time including Amy but that is just my opinion. Its a sad state of affairs when you have to pretend to be thick to become a winner of a reality show but it seems to be the norm now.

I bet they can all tell the time though

Joey has dyslexia:

People with dyslexia have extreme difficulty telling time on a clock with hands:
When asked what time it is, they may say something ridiculous, such as, “It's ten past quarter to.”
They may be able to tell whole hours and half hours (5:00, 5:30, etc.) but not smaller chunks, such as 5:12.
Concepts such as before and after on a clock are confusing. Therefore, time arithmetic is impossible.
Getting them a digital clock only helps a little bit. Now they can tell what time it is at the moment, but if you tell them to be home in 15 minutes, they can't figure out when that would be.

I have it on good authority that Einstein could only tell the time using a digital watch and Alexander Graham Bell had to invent the mobile phone so he could use that to get the time. And now we know why Virgin trains always run late.

I totally understand what you are saying. Not all have this difficulty, my niece doesn't. However last night when the pretty sexy lady got up close and showed him how, he got it ! Now I do question that.

I agree apart from the thick part. Dyslexic people really aren't thick.

Shameful.”

I know I shouldn't get mad but I honestly do with idiots like this..It is embarrassing wanting us to believe that not only had his family not bothered to teach him. But it is also insulting to the Education he clearly had! & not forgetting to the very ppl who do have genuine learning difficultys..How anyone finds this utter numpty funny or vote to keep him in is astounding to me!

We always get this Maxine on all reality shows, the doubting Thomas's . I believe him .
I've seen him on a few programmes and he really knows diddly squat .
He did say he can tell the time from a digital watch/clock . He probably never bothered with the numeral watch/clocks .

Some RTV celebs have made a fortune out of pretending to be 'thick'. The trend started in the early 2000's, with Jade and BB. It's a bit out of date and painful to watch now.

If people vote for it that's what they'll continue to get.
I find him entertaining. The truth is irrelevant to me in this type of programme.

Nowhere did i say that people with dyslexia or any other learning difficulty are thick. I said that imo he was pretending to not know how to tell the time for the attention. I also said that it is a sad day when they have to do this to win a reality show. He seemed to master the art of telling the time quite rapidly from Amy.

We have to remember that we get an edited down version of events. For all we know he could have been there for five hours trying to grasp it.
