Year after year, do they drop such a successful show, only to substitute it for a pointless meaningless football game.

If it was a qualifier for a world cup, then they may have an argument. I'm sure that there won't be as much viewers for the football. And if they MUST have the football on itv1 ,then why not put iac on itv2?

I agree!! I never understand why a stupid game of 12 blokes (or however many it is) kicking a ball around a field should take preference over Im a Celeb or the Soaps - there are plenty of other channels, including the ones dedicated to sport, where it could be shown. Like the OP, I am very annoyed.

i think more people are interested in IMAC rather than England playing shite

England games are more important that episodes of Iac. Especially to young men

Yeah, when are the soaps going to get a fair shake on ITV?

It isn't like ITV have limited channels to air programmes on. Isn't there up to ITV 4 now?

That is clearly untrue.

I bet more people watch the footie than watch IAC.

Anyway it will be a relief to miss another night of Matthew and Joey.

Let them watch on another channel then - young men do not make up the majority of viewers

More than 11 million?

I'd say England games are quite important and yes they should be shown on itv1 but that doesn't mean iac can't be shown on itv2 along with the soaps

I'm a football team and even I think it's ridiculous. There is no reason they can't put one of them on one of the other ITV channels.

Does the football attract 11 million viewers?

I was talking about Samuel's claim that football is more important than episodes of IAC. He can't possibly know that.

Do 11 million people watch IAC?

I suspect maybe more people would watch the footie otherwise they would move it to one of the other ITV channels. I don't see why they can't move IAC anyway.

Possibly not but I agree with him, football is much more important, IAC is just another silly RTV show.

Well ratings talk, and IAC got 11.9 million last night ... last Friday's England v Chile got 4.3 million.

So the 'silly RTV show' is more important than football to a lot of people.

I knew it had done well but 11.9 million is huge in this day and age.

It still must be big news cause everyone was taking about it at work today

i believe they are both 'flagship' shows and under contract to show them only on itv1 they wouldnt be allowed to transfer either of them to another lowly watched itv channel

I am a huge football fan but I think it's a disgrace really that it stops for one night for an England game which we all know will be utter shite. England are awful to watch.

Keeping the momentum of the series is important and I'm getting right into this series now.

It will lose next Tuesday as well for champions league

That's because most went out and watched it in the pub, Friday night is pub night. And IAC got the Downton slot Noone goes out on Sunday night
