How did that happen when both glasses were put down at the same time. Watched it back 3 times, there was nothing between them.

Did Ant & Dec get fed up as these two were never going to stop so was it a case of just pick a winner and move on?

It was a lame way to decide the winner. That trial is all about endurance, who can stomach the most disgusting "grub". That ending was all about who was capable of swallowing the fastest. Ridiculous.

I thought it was awful that one went back with nothing they could have half ex his meal count at least? Awful considering both put slot in to that

Thought it was fine. It made the loser even more determined and we will now get a rematch. Plus the pressure is on Matthew now as they have had no proper food.

Am I imagining things but in the early days - didn't each team win a meal for each disgusting thing they consumed - rather than this 'winner takes all' scenario?

I felt so awful for Matt. He deserved his meals fair and square!

I cant stand Joey, but he did finish drinking first to be fair. Dec reminded them to put the glass on the table as joey had finished drinking but still had hold of the glass, and Matthew was still drinking.

I don't hate Joey but I did want Matthew to walk away with the winnings - but I agree - he was fractionally ahead of Matthew in putting his glass down. A bloody dreadful way to decide the winner though.

Matthew should have won as Joey left a lot of white on his camel toe!!!

That is what happened yeah. It does seem unfair now.

Joey seemed to leave a lot of the vile stuff they were eating, ie, only eating half, whilst Matthew ate the lot.

To eat/drink everything and go away with nothing was sad.

The pressure really is on Matthew, but I doubt either of these two will back down. Joey is a massive game player, 'oh I am so dumb, oh I don't understand what is going on around me' this bloke has took lessons from Mark Wright, really hope Matthew wins tomorrow.

Anyone notice how the itv2 panel tried to say Matthew waa putting Joey off when in fact he was encouraging him. I don't mind Joey but I hate the arse licking that's going on.

I think they've been paid to 'big up' Joey and run down everyone else. I don't actually have anything against Joey (although I find his teeth a bit blinding) but really - they're making him out to be something he isn't.

Is John Partbitch still on the panel?

They must have conveniently forgotten that Joey told Matthew when he was struggling to eat something to spit it out at one point.

Exactly, it was Joey who was trying to put Matthew off.

Yes, I'm sure it used to be different. They have only started this 'winner takes all' 'head to head' thing in the last couple of years. I know it piles the pressure on which makes for better TV as they get hungrier. But it does seem really cruel and intrinsically unfair to me. If they've gone through that, won stars, they should get something.

You can see why the temptation would be to just say, no, not doing it when you think that you could go through all that, eating those dreadful things, not failing in that you've done it all and still end up with nothing. Of course, it they did do that, just said no they'd get voted to do it again and again (like Helen, Sinitta etc) but it looks like that might happen anyway.

Matthew wright might not be the most likeable of people and he didn't help himself with his attitude on the first day but I felt really sorry for him tonight.

BIB - He might not be the most likable of people, but he's probably the most likable of those people, and certainly the most interesting.

If Joey felt so bad about Matthew not getting anything he should throw the next challenge and let Matthews camp eat.

Agreed, the rematch will show just how genuinely sorry he felt for Matthew and the other camp.

especially seeing as the yellow team gave the red team a meal even though they had spent the night in luxury on the yacht

It looked like there was plenty left in both glasses

I think Joey had the more empty glass. I also think its a better way of doing this task as it makes them eat more rather than point blank refuse like some contestants in the past.
