If you get voted to do a trail you get exempt from the next trail I think it's annoying when they same people get voted to do all the trails .

I agree, if the public keep voting for these 2 I shall turn off.

I wish they'd do away with the eating tasks altogether - they're just horrible - and that's just for the viewer! I'm sure one day - someone is going to be violently ill from eating this shit!

Such a simple idea and it'd work. The public still get to choose who goes first, but afterwards, that's it! Matthew genuinely seemed in a different mind set to last night, determined - no matter what. So he'll do them all every night this week (knowing the public) but what's the point? Give them all a go and see how they get on!

I totally agree… from a viewer point of view, its much better to see all of them get a turn.

BUT… its MONEY we are talking here.. think of the year Gillian Mc Keith was on… all the money was made on the frenzy of voting to make sure Gillian was voted every time, same with Helen Flanagan.

They are not going to reduce the revenue to keep us happy. Its all about the frenzy voting to see the "scared" one take part time and time again.

O think that ITV are under the deluded impression that the majority of the public actually like seeing the same people do the trials.

But it doesn't really wash with me that money can only be made by letting the same people get voted time and time again! Surely if they made someone exempt after doing one trial and letting someone else do them, it would actually bring in more revenue if people had a wider choice to choose from after seeing them. It might also make people who wouldn't usually vote do so to make sure their least favourite is not chosen. I honestly think that this is just getting boring now, and am looking forward to when the public no longer have a say in the trials.

It does get boring seeing the same people do the trials day after day.

but not as many people would vote, think of the money!

I wish they were exempt from the next trial as well as both of them did awesome but I don't think it's ever gonna work like that.

The same thing happens ever year and they still haven't changed it so it's pretty clear they aren't going to. It's incredibly annoying having the same people/person doing every trial but obviously they are getting votes which equals money so why would they change it? I agree that it's gone on long enough and something really should be done about it, but unfortunately it won't be.

Is it deluded though? The public have a chance to vote for every trial if the same person gets voted in time and time again then its because thats what the people who vote (the voting public) want.

There's no way they'll do away with the eating tasks because they're probably the most popular with the viewers. They won't make them eat anything dangerous, just extremely unpleasant (I believe it's all genuine "bush tucker"). I usually cry with laughter at them, not because I get any sadistic pleasure out of watching the contestants suffer (honestly) but because I find them bloody funny. Maybe I have a slightly warped sense of humour!

I agree with the suggestion of the new rule though. I felt sorry for Matthew in particular.

Very cruel on Matthew for not taking back any meals. It's not like he failed, or declined to eat like Little Miss Hell-en.

They are, otherwise people wouldn't vote for them, you're in a minority.

It starts off rather amusing, but 2 or three in a row is about as much as I want to see. You want to see them suffer a bit but not give them too much airtime. It's a tricky one. I think as soon as it becomes quite apparent that they are playing the game to get airtime then that's when to stop voting them to do the trials. I don't think Matthew is really doing that yet but Joey wants air time big style.

You can't really say the majority want them to do the trial as we have no idea of the voting percentages. It could be Matthew got 20% of the votes, Joey got 20%...and the other 60% voted for someone else..

in which case you could say that the majority wanted someone else to do the trial...but the largest minority of voters like seeing the same people do the trials.

If there was a vote from the publc next time asking "who do you want to make exempt from today's trial?"..then Matthew and Joey would likely top that vote.

Those who don't want them to do the trails have to split their vote between 8 people...those who want them to do the trials only have to target 2 people. So the minority may have the power over the majority.

Oh but then we wouldn't have had the joy of Janice Dickinson exclaiming "Oh man!" during every voting results segment! It got tedious when Katie Price and Gillian McKeith kept getting picked though.

Also it gives the others more camera time, so we have a much better idea of their personalities.

Completely agree with this! I suppose the only reason they haven't done this is because they fear people won't vote at all.

I agree it is about the money they make from the voters, I bitch and moan about it every year but I still tune in, and as I don't vote perhaps I don't really have the right to complain about people who do, but I do wonder about their IQ.
