They could make it a public vote for "who do you want to be safe from the trial" as opposed to "who do you want to do the trial".

That way the person with the fewest votes gets the trial...but the extra airtime will likely result in a bump in votes to save them the following day.

You'd likely get far more people doing the trials then as it makes it far harder for the more sadistic viewers to get their way...while making it easier for the wider public to give immunity to those who have already done a trial.

This is brilliant. Voting to save your favourite celeb from the trial would be a great idea, and it would be much harder for one person to constantly do it, unless they are really disliked by the public.

Personally I think they should have given them both five meals each to take back to camp.

Both did extremely well and I felt sorry for Matthew going back to camp with nothing.

Having watched the trial last night between mathew and joey I thought it very unfair that being as they had both managed to do the five tasks that they should have had the five stars each and give food for the two camps. also I watched again the drink task and when I paused the screen they had both put down the glass at the same time. so why did ant and dec pick Joey to win I thought it rather unfair.

I agree with this it's gets rather annoying especially last year with Helen Flanagan .

in which case you could say that the majority wanted someone else to do the trial...but the largest minority of voters like seeing the same people do the trials.

If there was a vote from the publc next time asking "who do you want to make exempt from today's trial?"..then Matthew and Joey would likely top that vote.

Those who don't want them to do the trails have to split their vote between 8 people...those who want them to do the trials only have to target 2 people. So the minority may have the power over the majority.”

He and Matthew won the vote, the public want to see them in the trial, simple.

100% agree. It's nothing more than collective bullying via telephone.

CHANGE THIS NOW ITV & STOP THINKING OF THE CASH

I agree with you but the celebs know all about this when they go in. They can just not go in.

I've said this for a couple of years now.

If you do a trial one night, you are exempt for the next two nights for the period that the public are voting. Then EVERYONE would get a fair crack at the whip.

As already said though, money talks!

The largest minority of the public want to see them to the trial...not majority of "the public". More people would rather they weren't doing it.

Still..it's the shows fault for continuing to use a voting system that favours repetition and monotony.

Going slightly off-topic, there's something with the trial announcements and eliminations that annoys me. When one person is told "it might be you", everyone after that acts relieved or surprised when told it won't be them. They never seem to realise that they're safe if there are still names to be called out!
