Okay...so Lily Allen has proven that if you want to come back into the mainstream music industry...you can still do it and MASSIVELY so...within the space of to weeks we have had two new recordings unleashed to the world.....her beautiful cover of Keanes "Somewhere Only We Know" for John Lewis which charted at number 2 this Sunday...AND the almighty smash that is set to be Hard Out Here...already grabbing headlines for the content and visuals....it is set to be another defining hit for the mighty talent that is Lily Allen...so a thread of appreciation.

Okay, to sum it up Lily for me represents the aspect of music i love...passion, enthusiasm, humour, inspiration, and having a message behind the material ....often shockingly so, with a purpose.

Across her first two albums she offered Ska, Soul, Retro Pop vibes on her sublime debut Alright, Still!, and followed it up three years later with the Synthy,Electronica influences Its Not Me, Its You blockbuster follow up....two stellar albums...and in 2014 she is due to release her third.

This campaign kicks off as of today as Hard Out Here is released and she does the Radio rounds....so I for one am really excited about where she is headed next....oh another key factor....reinvention!

Love Lil, she's great, love her first 2 albums. Hard Out Here is wicked and has a good message and it's delivered in Lily style, I dislike her cover of Keane's track however.

Looking forward to album number 3.

My fave single from her is The Fear, it's perfect.

Both Mark Ronson and greg kurstin have recorded with Lily havent they this year? should b a really great third album a fusion of sounds an styles maybe too....plus she has lived and got away from the media/showbiz the past few years especially so will be great to hear...what has been on Lily Allens mind.

Pluus she confirmed yesterday she will be performing at glasto next year .

I don't know a great deal about Lily Allen but I must admit what I have seen and heard I've liked. The few times I've heard her she has always been entertaining unlike the majority of current pop that I've encountered. Just my opinion of course.
