No man or woman will ever get that close to another human being except for your partner . And remember for SCD its not just the 90sec on sat but weeks and maybe months of close intensity with some of them doing up to 6 hrs a day .
We know indeed it has led to affairs and breakups of relationships . I certainly would not let my partner take part . |

Very true but I believe you can love someone but still have an affair.
Besides I have to go and book my schmaltzectomy.

There's never not a bad time to trot this old favourite out: Dr Pammy (the hammy) Stephenson, sharing her thoughts in the Guardian about the intimacy of dancing with James Jordan. Not a woman, apparently, with any sense of embarrassment (best bits are from paragraph 5 onwards) ...

I must admit I would find it very difficult to watch my husband working so intimately with another woman. I don't think of myself as the jealous type either, but once years ago I did get antsy about a woman in our group of friends. It was a gut feeling and I later found out she had caused trouble between several couples. I think instinct kicked in.
That said, my husband can't dance for toffee and has all the rhythm of a jack in the box! ![]() If it was me who was doing the dancing, I would be concious all the time of our closeness and enjoy it, but be wary! Hope that makes sense! ![]() Just wanted to add I should be so lucky!

Now when I were a lad it was still the seventies and I got the impression that everybody danced sorta separate like.I never did the school disco thing, mind, but did a bit at family weddings in the eighties.
I remember when 'The Goodies' opened a disco and Bill was going around with a tape measure ensuring the dancers kept the minimum distance apart. |

Lol. I refuse to speculate (for now at least
![]() ![]() ) but Im 100% that they have been affairs in the past and probably still now; Some people just hide it really well .Wasn't it Craig who said one time (in his book not sure, cant remember ) that we may be surprised at the "hook-ups " that were (are ) in this show Or was is Robin ' or surprised at what is going on behind the scenes. |

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the SCD forumites have indulged in off line ganchoes ... I blame the dance theme.

Watch the end of Jodie Kidd & Ian's Rumba from Series 6...
I know Ian's gay and what not but oooh, if that was my boyfriend with her I'd be seething!

I have always found "horny" a strange descriptor when used to describe female arousal. It is a real turn-off. I'm just too literal perhaps.as it conjures up an image of a Thai "lady-boy"

Do you prefer inflamed lady parts?
But arguably the term "lady" is a bit redundant in this context except perhaps justified by the regular use of "Purrrllleeeeeeeeze" and "Thaaaungggkkk hyyyouuuuuu". I can think of a few others but ... what would FMs think of me ...

The rumba was, well, very well acted at the end.
![]() Speaking personally I'd refuse to do an SCD version of the Rumba with all that hand dinking and mincing about ... Each to their own of course. |
