I was watching that episode last night. Alone, this scene wouldn't have been that funny but that laugh is what makes it priceless!

I love Hartnell so much. He's one of my top 3 doctors. I hate it when people just slag him off as the "grumpy old man."

There are times when he is exactly like Yoda. His scenes with the Monk in The Time Meddler are a good example.

The first Doctor is currently my favourite.

I expect to be in floods of sentimental tears watching An Adventure in Time and Space on Thursday night!

"go forward in your beliefs and prove that i am not mistaken in mine" is pretty good stuff ! almost Churchillian. and infinitely better than "wibbly wobbly timey wimey" .......

Hardly comparable quotes though are they. One was intended to be a bit silly and off the cuff and funny. The other was purposefully aiming for a sense of grand dignity.

Funny that, I really hate it when people just slag off Chris Eccleston and call him "disrespectful".
