He'll hopefully come good. Must be so hard being thrown in right at the deep end from the outset.

Matthew to win

I'm still in two minds.

He's one of the more media savvy ones in there, so part of me wonders if there's some acting going on. On the other hand we've had crackups before so it's possible it's genuine.

I think he'll wimp out. Hope he does, I can't stand him! OTOH I'm enjoying watching him suffer.

I would be a broken man eating camel toe or whatever that hideous thing was. I turned it over before he consumed it. Too yuck.

I thought he would go under early but with him being initiated to tasks so early it might have helped him quite a bit.

He has a big opinionated mouth on him so it is good to see it isn't used in the jungle as yet.

I hope the more confined tasks do not spook him as I do not think he is very strong mentally.

I think these tasks will keep him in thd more he does the stronger he will get same with thicko essex

No I do not see him as broken at all. I see him as realising what he has got himself into, but will rise to the challenges he said he wanted to face. The tears just now are his getting to grip with the reality of his situation. I love this argumentative, tell it like it is Croydon guy. He's done nothing to let me down so far.

I don't think he's acting. No one in their right mind would want to be put up for those tasks every day.

The problem with voting for the tasks at this early stage is we don't have enough footage of anyone else to make people vote for them so Matthew and Joey are the obvious targets. Unless someone else starts acting cocky or obnoxious people will keep voting for them.

Can't stand the smug *********************. Now how does anyone get maximum airtime on this show? Media savvy, of course he is. What does he want out of it interests me more. He's been festering in lacklustre Channel 5 for long enough now?

Oh yes, he's knows how to play the game alright

He is very good at telling it like it is, but not very good at graciously listening to or allowing others their own opinions. I used to watch his programme until he became too smug and insufferable.

Did you see him on the first night? He should at least get panto out of this after that OTT performance.

I did, it was so obvious. Both him and Joey, maybe they'll get a show

Excellent that we have Matthew and Joey at the two ends of the positive and negative, journalist v media subject going on. An excellent start to what will be the best ever it appears 'I'm A Celebrity....' going on.

I didn't get that. Matthew being bought off for a future panto role does not figure as it would downgrade The Wright Stuff. I was going to say full stop, But hey, I suppose I shouldn't try to predict his mindset after the jungle experience.

He is certainly one of the more interesting characters in there - as we really cant predict how he'll cope with possibly doing trial after trial - (if chosen as this years victim). Suspect he may be really sensitive and a bit of a cry baby - but underneath it all quite tough. Dont think anyone could really cope in the entertainment world - as long as he has - unless they have a thick skin and some back bone. We'll see....

What's lacklustre about having your own daily talk show that you have editorial control over ? Nobody else is offering him that and he loves doing it. C5 agreed for him to have the time off to do it because it's all good exposure for him and the show.

He already does primetime stuff for the BBC anyway, as regular presenter of Inside Out London, occasionally filling in on The One Show and also regularly appearing on This Week and The Daily Politics.

He's not doing badly for himself at all, and it's great that more people are seeing what a great guy he is through I'm A Celebrity.
