“Tonight is set to be one of the most emotionally charged shows of the series as it’s time to reveal which four couples will be dancing in the Strictly Come Dancing 2013 Final next weekend.

After 12 weeks of battling it out in the ballroom, it will come down to the judges’ scores and public votes combined, to decide who will make it through to the final.

Adding a touch of Strictly sparkle to the evening will be five-time Grammy Award-winner Celine Dion with a powerful performance of ‘Breakaway’ from her new album.”

Four women 'catfight' final?

Three women, one man final?

Or, *eastenders drumroll* two women and two men final?

I would love a four women final.

I hope its 2 women and 2 men but I think the final will be 3 women and 1 man like last year.

Because its a final 4 I predict it will be Sophie,Susanna,Abbey and Ben

It will be two boys and two girls I think, because we are week eight now and the split is suspiciously even. So my fear/prediction for the final is Susanna, Natalie, Patrick, and Ben's all-lifts show dance even though I would love it to be Abbey, Susanna, Patrick and Sophie/Ashley.

I don't think it will be an all women finale, it will 3 women and 1 man .

Natalie is going to be there for certain. Sophie or Susanna (or both). For the men, it's going to be either Ashley or Ben (sorry Patrick ).
Still a bit unsure about Abbey but I think that she has a good chance .

I think the judges lean more toward Abbey, so if they are in a dance off it will be Abbey there.

I think that Abbey will probably win any dance off unless it's against Natalie.

I'm glad to hear this My prediction for the final four: Natalie (cannot take to her at all but no denying she's a good dancer), Abbey, Sophie and Ashley. Three ladies, one man, methinks!

Wot, no "they've done that to keep x in, they must be doing badly in the vote" postings yet?

(ETA assuming no dance off in the semi)

Would love a four women final, mainly because the women are so much better than the blokes

Don't think the Beeb will let that happen though

Abbey will be there if the judges have anything to do with it, the blatant over marking on Saturday showed their colours

Natalie will never be voted off so
1. Natalie, Abbey, Susanna and Sophie (my dream final)

2. Natalie
Abbey
Susanna/ Ashley/ Patrick
Sophie/ Ben

Sorry for Mark, much as I love him I don't think he'll make it past next week.

In my heart I want Sophie or Susanna to win but with all those ovaries voting () might be a fella again.

For the life of me, I can't remember if Abbey actually attempted Samba? If not (and I thought not), she'll be in trouble if she's doing a dance off with a Samba and, say, Susanna or Sophie (or Ashley or Patrick) does a ballroom number instead...

edit to add another thought:

What is the semi-final like? A six-couple semi or five? In other words, just one elimination and four going through the final? Would have been a bitter pill to swallow for the one couple who fell at the last hurdle surely?

What if hormonal voters overdrive and we have THREE men in the final by vote, then what? Natalie the last girl standing in the final after dance off?

Ben will be out before the semi-final - he's never been better than mid-table and has been erring towards the bottom these last two weeks.

Strip away all the pomp and circumstances (viz. Kristina's diversion tactics) Ben was merely on par with Mark truth be told. He just looks better than Mark physically that's all...

" GASP " Abbey hasn't danced the dreaded samba yet .

Im confident that she can pull it of though meaning reasonably do well .

BIB Ughhh I hope not !!!

But you forget that susanna still hasn't danced the rumba (and I dont see her doing well with it ) so she also can be in trouble if she has it for the semi imo (especially if she finds herself in the DO ) .

I think it will be 2 ladies and 2 gents.

I think if its as per last year, there were 5 in the semi final and there was a dance off (Lisa and Denise - if I remember rightly).

(racks brains to no avail)
Wasn't there some confusion about what was going to happen when four were left? i.e. it was left late before it was confirmed.

It's the public vote that will decide who ends up in the bottom two.

And Natalie wasn't blatantly overmarked then?

This will very much depend on the dance. Standard Ballroom vs Latin & Abbey might make it. Anything else would be unlikely, especially given what each couple has left to do.

My feeling is that Abbey, Natalie and Susanna are definites for the final, unless any of them ends up in the dance off against each other, and I think the fourth finalist should be one of Ashley, Sophie or Patrick. Whether or not it will work out like that, though, is anyone's guess.

BIB not really. Any of the top five people last weekend could have been bottom of the public vote and still managed to avoid the dance off.

Also, we dont know whether there is going to be a dance off (DO) semifinal. If there is, then:

- Natalie for sure (minus accidents/health issues) is in the final;

- Abbey still on 50/50 chance (she would be as long as she avoids DO with Natalie and/or with a very weak latin against strong ballroom, both scenarios quite possible).

- all the others (minus Mark) have a chance of getting to the final through even through DO, depending on what they are dancing. Nobody would have bet that Mark with a jive would survive a DO against Fiona and Antons AS.

Ideally, I would like:
Natalie
Abbey
Sophie
Patrick

But barring any disasters, Susanna is a dead cert for the final. At the moment I do think that it is likely:

Susana 99%

Natalie 95%

Sophie/Ben - which ever fan base is stronger, popular couples but not the strongest in the dancing (ie scoring from judges can be anywhere). 75%

Patrick/Abbey - the two who I think have the weakest voting base, but apart from Natalie, the better dancers of the comp so they can be saved by the judges scoring and/or DO. 50%

Ashley, outside chance but I think more likely to end up as Scott Maslen. 40%
