Dog treats...

Is it ok to give my dog 3-4 pigs ears a week as a treat? The dried ones you get in pet shops. He's like 25-30 KG.

Thank you.

Not sure I would give 3/4 to be honest, maybe thats because of the effect they have on our dogs - not pleasant

Ours have 1 every few weeks as a treat.

They are fried, I wouldn't give them that many.

They aren't something we use anymore, far too many problems with them in the past. Filled kongs go down well as do nice crunchy carrots.

I don't give them to my dogs. One of them tries to eat it at such speed that she gets it stuck in her throat and ends up puking.

The other dog gets a little aggressive with them. He is fine with raw hide and other treats, but pigs ears make him grrrr.

I have also heard they can cause problems, so I don't get them anymore. I tend to make my dog some liver treats, and they do go down a treat too.
