I thought it wasn't possible to love MS anymore than I do - platonically of course

I have always adored these two but hearing that he had a bad injury in only week 2 of rehearsals & kept it quiet, well that love has gone up even more!

and I do wonder why the producers chose not to tell us, then they fell over themselves with Natalie's injuries

Because Natalie needed help with the public vote, would be my guess.

But it doesn't work that way, it works the opposite going by what is said on here. Yet they still continued to do it.

I am not having a go at Mark, by the way, I like him, I just think the producers should be consistent.

I know it didn't work, but I think they thought it might work.

I know you're not, and I agree with you.

Well maybe Mark needs the votes and why his injuries have finally been let out of the bag?

Yes it nearly always works the opposite way....and it was overkill.I too am not having a go at Mark as apart from Natalie Mark is the only other one I really like..............I would even love it if he won because I doubt that Natalie can.

Yes, I am now thinking that I would not mind Mark winning because I'm sure Natalie wont. I hope he makes the final anyway.

Im a little sad (wrong word but I know what I mean) that Zoe mentioned this - Mark clearly didnt want the attention, clearly didnt want to be asked about his knees and I thought he felt really uncomfortable with the question tbh

If he had wanted to talk about his knees, surely it is up to him to bring it up if and when he wants to.......

There is no doubt that Mark does need the votes as he has been bottom 2 for the last two weeks, of course it is far more likely to work at this stage because of the late in the day mentioning and it also has the advantage of working against Natalie even more...maybe I am just too cynical though

I don't think that the celeb's get any say in what questions are asked or in the storylines that the producers run with.

clearly not! but they should, it was obvious to me that Mark didnt want attention on the knee braces and the production team should have spoken to him before he went on air to ask if he was comfortable talking about it - just seems polite to me but maybe its just me who thinks like that

No you are not alone in thinking that way, tha'ts why I felt sorry for Natalie having all her interviews overtaken with the only talk being about her health etc, it was also obvious to me that she just wanted to move on and get along with the dancing too.

Do you really think they are trying to stitch Natalie up? I doubt it as I feel they very much want her there due to her dancing. And for those that think she won't win. I think she has a good chance. If it were down to those who watch every week, discuss the show and watch ITT, then maybe not. But final night attracts many casual watchers and a show dance can change everything.

It would be nice though if Mark did get a sympathy vote and we had him in a little longer.

I agree with this bit.

I'd have thought the annual Babywarz phenomenon needs active consent from the parent/celeb.

It seems a real stretch to class last night's low-key revelations even alongside the mildest of the regular shameless shroud, kiddy and granny-waving antics we all know and loathe.

Surely if he can claim the benefit of keeping it quiet all those weeks because "he didn't want the sympathy vote", he has to take responsibility for bringing it up now, too. Cleverest play of injury card I've seen so far.

To be fair, if you're on Strictly and have to go to Hospital for anything let alone an MRI scan and steroid injections you must know that it is going to appear at some point convenient to the production staff - espcially if you then have to wear conspicuous indicators of something amiss like huge knee supports.

I'd rather it come out sooner rather than later. Must have been like the Sword of Damaocles.

I suspect Mark already gets a lot of public votes, but he'll always be struggling because he's always at the bottom of the leaderboard. I like him, and I don't normally support the 'also rans,' but this time he doesn't irritate me like others have in the past. He's such fun. Yes, I know it's a dance contest and I wouldn't want a top dancer to go out rather than Mark, but he's kept me happy.

Its better to know these things so the dancers can get the appropriate credit. It wont do Mark's chances any harm but I doubt it will make a big difference to his length of stay. He has a ballroom now so he might survive another week - if his dance good enough.

Exactly. And whilst, of course, the producers suggest how issues are dealt with it is utterly fanciful to suggest as some are, that TPTB can reveal personal medical details without consent. Natalie must have consented to allow filming of her 'Harley Street consultation' and photos of her scan and Mark plainly refused at an earlier stage. Equally, he would certainly have had notice of the questions Zoe was going to ask in her interview last night. These are grown up people who are responsible for the information they make public - which is not to criticise either (or others who have been injured during the course of the series with or without fanfare)

And he chose to answer it the way he did, as opposed to a short "I injured my knees at the beginning and need those braces for support".
