Oh come on Peeps let's see it for real rather than all pink and fluffy.

Zoe/Producers and Mark will have spoken about this before the programme and he will have consented to it being put in .

He has obviously decided the time has come to play the sympathy card for votes, and who can blame him. He is an actor after all, so of course he can carry off the 'I wasnt going to mention this' very well.

Well me and you both Pices.

Mark doesn't need the votes. The fact he is in the bottom 2 is to do with him being at the bottom of the leader board at this stage of the competition. On Saturday he could have outvoted Ashley Abbey and Patrick & still be in the dance off. He could also have been bottom of the vote but personally I doubt he is.

Mark expected to go home on Saturday. He knows he is very much on borrowed time. As a huge fan I want him to stay as long as possible, but I would hate him to do permenant damage to his knees. No matter what, at this stage there was nothing to loose or gain from talking about his knees, which is perhaps why Zoe brought it up.

Maybe, as he knows he 's probably about to leave the show, he wanted to set the record straight. I'm sure he has a degree of pride and didn't want the viewers thinking it was all down to his weight or that he failed to give it his all.

Genuine question. Why would you think the producers would want to make Natalie look bad?

Yes, I know it's a dance contest and I wouldn't want a top dancer to go out rather than Mark, but he's kept me happy.”

I liked them a lot, too, but didn't like the way he handled ITT last night at all. Pity (for me, doubt anybody else cares), they had the potential to be my favourite personality couple ever. Oh well, back to Gavin and Katya it is, then.

Ok, thanks, I can see how these make sense. I'll go back to liking Mark, then, that's nice!

I'm not too sure they do it deliberately but you do sometimes have to wonder.

They must know that a lot of people are not happy with her being on the show yet they chose to show all the gory details. When someone doesn't like a contestant, this makes them dislike them even more imo.

I have been watching these RTV shows for a long time now and nothing would surprise me, it is obvious on this show that the judges mark whatever suits them at the time. So why not the producers too?

I have felt it for a few weeks, the drama was overdone on her illnesses and they never gave her anything else to discuss, also the constant reminder of Abbey having no experience (not that I believe it) and the possibility that they have felt the backlash that Natalie has in regard to her being on the show in the first place.I think that they now want her to go and maybe they even want that for her sake as her prolonged presence in the show is ramping up the negativity more and more against her: Its all just theory though but nevertheless a possibility.

You're easily persuaded.

I have no doubt they play us but I always wondered if they drew attention to Natalie's injuries in an attempt to garner some sympathy as it was clear a lot of people, as you said, were not happy with her being on the show. Trying to redress the balance so to speak.

Yes, that's also possible. But does she need the votes, she is clearly the best dancer so the judges are keeping her at the top of the leader board. She hasn't been in the bottom 2 yet.

Sorry hadn't seen your reply when I responded to YL.

Same response applies but in every series they do big up those that haven't had the dance experience of the stage schoolers.

As I've said on another thread, I don't think it's at all a foregone conclusion that Mark will be gone this week.

Sophie has to do a Rhumba, which, given the mix of personalities involved, could be a train wreck (I hope not, 'cos I'm a Sophie fan.) That possibility and LeadFoot Ben doing a Charleston means he might miss the DO altogether. And even if he's in it, he might well beat LeadFoot !

Usually by this stage I'm rooting for the non-contenders (being diplomatic here) to be given the boot, but Mark's OK, and he's been given a rough ride by TPTB in the last few weeks.
I certainly hope his Foxtrot goes well whatever happens.

Well thats a possibility too....however it didn't work and has caused her far more harm than good as I always suspected it would.

She absolutely is the best technical dancer and if the dance off remains until the semi final, she will without doubt be in the final.

I expect she gets enough viewer votes that combined with top leaderboard placement she would get through anyway.

More harm? In what way? She made a comeback and did that Charleston!

Yes, if she makes the final, that is when her problems begin I suspect, it will be anyone but Natalie, well on here anyway

Argggh! Arrrgh! whimper etc

I wish bluddy Natalie would keep to her own (753 threads) and stop invading Mark's. The bloke's got bad knees. They can exist in isolation from another contestant's ill health. Bloody Hell!!!!

People can only be persuaded if they want to be...I cannot imagine anyone not liking Mark as he is so adorable.

I meant more harm to her character, the negativity towards her has increased since her fainting.
