Although I think An T. has a point in that the original posting is written as a contention in support of Sophie, I can certainly also see your point in that it does at the same time pose a question for discussion (albeit that it's presented as a contention).

To address the point in question, I think that it's difficult to draw any conclusions or even intelligent guesses and maybes in this show. Each contestant comes in with a different background and character, different amounts and also quality of time to give, and each partnership is unique. Some feel Brendan isn't a good partner for anyone, which is an extreme view IMO.

I would love that

Sophie is one of my favourite contestants and I would love it if she were in the final instead of Susanna but other celeb dancers are putting clear blue water between themselves and her. Of course, another fantastic dance could turn the tide but we have been saying this for weeks. She would struggle to survive a bottom two dance off with anyone except Mark, Ben and Ashley if current form can be seen as a predictor of success. I can't decide whether she flattered to deceive with her Charleston or Brendan is cramping her style - trying to position her as he wants her rather than playing to whatever strengths as a dancer she may have. Maybe this Saturday will be a 10 fest for Sophie?

10s for her rumba ? Uhmm.......

Unfortunately for Sophie, she has the rhumba this week, which isn't exactly a 10 fest dance even this late in the competition - I think the only celebs to get 10's in normal series so far have been Rachel, Kara, Chelsea and Denise?

It's a laughable view. Sophie seems to lack balance sometimes, I didn't see that in QS though and feel that dance was a real improvement. Rhumba is a hard sell though and extremely unlikely to get 10's. Let's hope the public keep her in.

I like Sophie Eliis Bextor as a person but as a dancer I honestly think she is little better than Rachel Riley

Sophie is fascinating to watch, by far my favourite this year. I feel she has it in her to get right back in contention with one good performance. I'd rather have one Sophie than ten Natalie's!

I don't think she is ever going to be a good latin dancer - most dancers are either ballroom or latin. Ballroom dancers have very little use in the entertainment world - the Hiltons were the World Professional Ballroom Champions for a record 9 years and yet they have never been shown in a TV show.

I really like Sophie, she has a very unique style, and I'm a Brendan fan, but have to say that imo they haven't lived up to the initial promise of that wonderful charleston.

Agree. It almost feels like this dance and the Foxtrot that followed has raised unrealistic expectations, which is why people are feeling somewhat disappointed with the partnership.

Sophie seems to be one of the nicest of a nice bunch of celebrities, so people are willing her to do well.
