I've just logged in to my 3 account and it states I have 500 picture messages remaining. I'm on the Oneplan SIM only and don't recall seeing this before.

It even shows it in the my3 app.

i wonder if you only get the MMS when your allowance renews...mind you according to carguy143 picture he's got 7 days left until it renews

No picture messages showing up for me on ultimate internet 500.
I have noticed that the picture mail allowance has dissappeared though.

Well I sent a picture message since posting up that screenshot and it now shows as 499 remaining so it must be correct.

Oh I wonder if everyone will get this allowance because it seems to be a mixed contract types getting the 500 photo messages

My allowance renews tomorrow, so can't be that.

Well I called and asked and they said I don't have any free picture messages and it must be an error. I almost wish I hadn't called. Still, it's not something I would have had anyway.

checked mine and my brothers account no sign of picture messages.

They could be updating peoples accounts in stages though? who knows.

Because Three believe that odd people are far too often discriminated against and occasionally deserve to have something nice happen to them (not that i've ever sent an MMS so don't know what to do with them now i have 'em. Something odd no doubt).

Now on a serious note, I have been with Three for over 2 years and only just downgraded to sim only when my phone contract expired. Maybe it's a billing error and it will be taken off us and for that reason alone, I am sailing on the side of caution.

There are. Picture messaging isn't something that I normally use, however when checking my allowances I just noticed it appear.

I heard its to do with the Nexus.

If you text more than 1 person the Nexus changes the message to an MMS,

Until a fix is in place, Three are giving customers (not sure how they find who) 500 free MMS a month

I have got the Nexus 5, not sure about the others who got the allowance.

I also have a Nexus 5 and I don't mind free MMS messages and hope it lasts a while as they do come in handy.

So -could you simply go into My3 and adjust your handset type to a Nexus?

If this is the cause it's probably a smart move by three to reduce support calls - some could go over 500 and still call, but it would eliminate most complaints. Smart, proactive.
