Matthew fan here. Bit of a blip at the start with the tears, but I think that was just him having a reality of the situation check.

I like him too He's so much more interesting than most of the others. So glad he's been given a night off from the trial Maybe it will give him a boost.

I wasn't wild about him at the beginning but he did brilliantly on today's tasks, particularly the 'code' one when no one would have blamed him for giving up after the day he's had. I've really warmed to him.

I like Matthew, I wouldn't mind him winning, anyone except Joey, I've really gone off him now!

Matthew is only getting started. Could be a legendary campmate. I think he has Joeys number when it comes to what he is up to.

Producer fail. They wanted us to come away from that thinking of Joey in a positive light but instead we felt empathy for Matthew.

How hard would it have been to rig that tiebreaker anyway ?? Convenient that their chosen one could be the hero of the day once again.

I really like Matthew too. He's easily one of the more interesting campmates, not afraid to show his weaknesses, and willing to give the challenges a go. Plus, he's got Joey sussed.

I'd take no notice of Schofield not liking him. As an ITV employee, he's probably contract-bound to sing Joey's praises. And if not, he's still not stupid enough to bite the hand that feeds him by criticising producers favourite Joey Essex.

My favourite also! Everyone seems to think Joey has this in the bag, but maybe not. I think Matt's going to go far, and I think the Westlife bloke will as well, when he has a chance to shine. The first 3 episodes really have been the Joey and Matt show, and to be fair to both of them, they've really given it a go and are entertaining!

I like him too, the two trials have worked wonders for him in terms of garnering sympathy and he has carried himself very well. Find him funny, quirky and entertaining. Also 99.9% sure he is secretly Matthew Lillard's father.

I am also liking Matthew more with every day. I would love to see him in the final along with Lucy and Steve, but no doubt golden boy Joey will be sitting there at the end cos e is well fit innit.

BIB-Is that really his appeal with some people? Finding his stupid act funny and voting to save him is one thing, but is Joey's popularity really a result of his "sex appeal"? He looks like an oily child. I can't say Joey does anything for me. He's too boyish and child like.

Well I have changed my mind in the last 48 hours about Mathew. I found him funny tonight ,he has Joey's card marked, and he played a fair game with Amy in the head to head task ,he didn't need to wake her up to participate .Go Mathew!! the more he calls out Joey. ..the more I support him .

I think Matthew Wright is doing great. It takes a strong man to show his weaknesses. He has been very unlucky with the tasks. I hope he makes it to the final.
