Felt this thread deserved to be bumped in recognition of Matthew's sterling effort to take the pee out of the show tonight

Im enjoying Matthew a lot so I suppose he's my favourite. Phil Schofield is a massive dong doesn't he know if it wasn't for Matthew he wouldn't have that gig.

Matthew Wright absolutely repulses me. I used to enjoy his show in the earlier 2000's but he became so smarmy, sexual and full of sexual innuendo I couldn't bear to watch it anymore. Shame because its a great format but for me, with him hosting, can't watch! No-one can cry about creepy crawlies like he did on the first day in the jungle and then be absolutely fearless the next day. Finally, the white bikini moment. Matthew, you're not funny enough or charismatic enough to carry it off. It just was what you are smarmy and seedy.

I have to agree with you. The sexual innuendo became unbearable. I hope he's not having a mid-life crisis in full technicolour. Very few things sadder in life than a melt-down on TV.

I was wondering if they have some kind of a theme for this year's show. What with the whole Rebecca (I'm not beautiful, please feel sorry for me) and now Matthew (I'm a middle-aged git with a gut, pity me). If it's a good-looking versus intelligent show, they have totally chosen the wrong people.

I think him doing the bikini skit was his Galloway drinking milk moment, what was he thinking, the nation isn't ready for a middle aged bloke fingering his arsecrack?

Piers Morgan's hilarious, a complete wind up merchant and thoroughly tongue in cheek, don't know why people take him so seriously. Am a huge fan of Matthew's too, am so surprised he's actually doing this and makes such a change to have someone with real personality on the show. Really hope he wins.

Matthew Wright is a strange one. I can't say I like him at all BUT he is watchable (unlike Alphonso who may as well not be in there at all).

Yes Matthew is smarmy and quick tempered. He is neurotic, slightly strange, irritable and a little creepy - but he's also intelligent and perceptive, which is a refreshing change on occasions to the charmless intelligence vacuum that is Joey Essex.

He's bound to be one of the first out, unless his mum has him on speed dial.

I like Matthew too.

He was hilarious in the bikini last night.

That was the moment of the series so far for me.

They seems to me on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now, i felt they are really down on Matthew they don't want him to win, always finding some fault.
The bikini moment was spot on hilarious, i wish could get a mind wipe now but still it was hilarious.

Thank you! At last I can put my hand up and admit to liking Piers Morgan (was too much of a coward to be the first to say it!) And I agree - its a while since this show has had someone of substance in it - well done Matthew for taking part (and taking the piss) but ... don't be in there too long - Richard Madeley is really not doing a very good job in your absence.

You're really taking Matthew too seriously. He did it for a laugh - he isn't having a crisis at all - he's taking the piss out of a show that really does need the piss taking out of it at times.

I bet there's loads of blokes out there (young and old) who've at some point put on their girlfriend's clothes, wigs, underwear - and pranced around (FOR A LAUGH) and that is all it was for - a laugh. And this is NOTHING like the Galloway thing - slinking around on a carpet, lapping up milk and being stroked by a woman who sounds and looks like a man is just plain wrong - there was NOTHING funny about that.

Matthew Wright's constant references to 'playing hide the sausage' makes me want to barf. What age IS this man???

BIB. I'd add smug to that list.

This has been the only time this series I have Laughed..Thanks to Matthew,
The show has been dire from day one in my opinion..Even this forum which is part of the show for me has struggled for anything worth talking about! As for Scoff Field, Small man syndrome, bless his little cotton socks

At what age does one require to lose one's humour?

Thank you!

All these Matthew's having a crisis/going into meltdown's is making me laugh (not quite as much as his lordship in his bikini shower mind )

He's just having a LAUGH
People read far too much in to every little thing.
Everyone's humour differs.
I found it bloody hilarious.
Made my night

Cannot wait to see what else he may have in store ... and the ensuing reactions

The very first genuine laugh out loud moment for me this series! Total pisstake on the usually beauty in a bikini footage they overindulge in every year!
