Does It Really Matter Much That - MARKS - Making Use Of His Hairspray Dance Moves ?


It says in the Mirror that people are moaning, but viewers at home want to be entertained not spending their time nit picking over irrelevant details.

For me Mark and Iveta are indeed working very hard to entertain us on Saturday nights, and doing a great job to keep the show alive and full of interest.

What do you think ?

Five moves out of the whole routine? So what!

You could accuse ALL the dancers of copying moves all the time - they all use the same moves incorporated in their choreography for the Charleston, American Smooth, Quickstep, Waltz, Paso Doble ................ They're standard.

Dirty Dancing's already been mentioned, and if they danced to the music from 'Cabaret', which pro would resist putting moves from the movie in their routine? None of them.

Absolutely nothing wrong with with incorporating 5 moves into the routine they did.

ok, just actually read that article, wow, there are some nasty people on twitter! why on earth would you tweet that to someone (if indeed the article is accurate) and call them a cheat? Mark is a lovely guy who is trying his best - I loved his jive on saturday night and it doesnt matter one little bit that he used moves from Hairspray - who wouldnt? people need to lighten up for goodness sake!

In the wrong hands Twitter does seem to be used as a playground for would be bullies.

Poor Mark and Ivetta.

I've just read how much bile Artem and Natalie have received via the medium and I feel desperately sorry for them. No one should receive that level of abuse. I mean this is a dance show fgs!

I'm still hopping mad that Mark didn't do the full Edna Turnblad and Iveta could at least have managed Debbie Harry's exploding hairdo! ... but I wouldn't abuse them on Twitter for it.

FWIW the latest pop at Mark seems to come from a fellow hoofer, who is probably available for panto as we speak.

Of course it doesn't matter - all competitors bring whatever experience they've got to the table in pursuit of a good performance.

Mark entertained us royally last Saturday night.

I read in the Daily Mirror that mark has been very brave about the pain from his torn cartlidge in his knees which has been holding him back on Strictly Come Dancing, I have been wondering all series why he was wearing the thick strapping on his knees.

It does matter, because he only beat Fiona by a narrow margin. He needed the advantage given by the Hairspray connection, it made all the difference.

Didnt he say on ITT that he used very few hairspray moves, that Ivetta choreographed it differently, and he was used to doing it a different way in hairspray, so it made it more difficult for him than easier

Intelligent use of his own knowledge isn't it....

I missed that but it does sound plausible, Iveta is a very talented choreographer, I don't know how Mark keeps pulling these routines off with his poor knees being the way they are, did they say if he is having injections for the pain ?

What he said was there were only a few moves there from hairspray, mostly ivetas choreography and he was used to doing it a different way

If the couples are going to dance to piece of music with distinctive dance moves then it would have been odd if there hadn't have been a few moves from Hairspray.
