It's a good thing, of course! Besides, anything is better than those wealthy out-of-touch/above-the-law aristocrats who have been lording it over these islands for centuries.
Bruce is brilliant at empathising with the dancers and I admire the way he intervenes on their behalf when the judges get nasty, so I am quite sure he will be a fount of wisdom and good sense in a place not known for either.

What, you mean the way he tells them not to listen when Craig (accurately) tells them what they were getting wrong. No, far from admiring that, I really wish he'd remember that's a big part of why the judges are there.

You can tell that ballroom dancing is becoming very popular - look how many people have partners!
I think he would be a disaster in the House of Lords. Just imagine him making a speech, especially if he wrote it himself.
The only good thing is if he had to spend time in the House of Lords, he probably wouldn't have the stamina to do Strictly as well.
