Totally. It's really odd how random comments, lightly made, are used against people. As if one light-hearted comment is enough to assess a person's entire character? She makes a random joke against herself so now she's lazy? Bizarre.

There's only one person in there who can be judged to date and that's the 'thicko' since he's going out of his way to be the character he's intent on portraying.

I would class myself as 'unfit' like Lucy. However, it has never stopped me from doing my housework (to the nth degree, I clean EVERYTHING) each week or being a bit OCD about being tidy.

Lucy strikes me as being very similar to that. You don't have to be 'fit' to do work like she is doing.

It seems that you've taken her comments and made them suit some image you have of her. But that's entirely up to you. People don't have to agree.

I don't know that she is, do you? I have already explained that I believed it was a self deprecating remark made as a joke and that she is being active in the camp. I don't really know what else you want me to do other than scrutinise google for 'unfit lucy proof' - but you can do that yourself. Me, I can't be bothered (because I'm a lazy cow)

The way I look at it is that self deprecating humour is based on the truth.(Many a true word spoken in jest) She said she was unfit when they were choosing people for the physical task.

Or are we supposed to dismiss everything she says about herself as a joke?

I'm not asking you to do anything, and I don't really know who this collective 'we' is. Imo, I thought she was joking in her vt. I can't speak for everyone and I sure as hell ain't going to put 'IMO' on every post I write.

There always got to be a bitch role appointed and unfortunately for Lucy she has allocated to fill it

Sadly, I think you're right. I think just because she's not all sweetness and light, or a people pleaser, she automatically gets the panto bitch role. The main reason I like her - same with Laila - is that they're both feisty and probably will speak their minds as time goes on. My kind of gals.

weird. she comes across as nice to me and the only times i've seen her say 'negative' things were when talking about tasks and she seemed to be saying, These are my weaker spots?

I've not got a great memory so I woud say stuff like dont give me a memory task I'm better at other stuff too. I seem to remember her being good in the tank with animals in the first day (even tho they were letting the other team get food)

I don't watch soaps so my first time seeing her on IAC .
She seems an ok girl so far . Don't understand the negativity .

The 'Media Whore' comment seems to have upset the panel and presenters. Now, she is already being judged by the presenters and panel, on that one comment alone. She hasn't even been given a chance. Instead, she has been judged on one harmless comment.

it's not really that weird that two morons get the wrong end of the stick and run with it, I'd be more shocked if anything at all intellligent or insightful came out of Swash or the TOWIE sorts gob

I definately agree with you

Exactly. And who has she been 'judged' by? The ITV2 presenters and panel - ie the most blatant media whores ever. Laughable really and thank god only a tiny minority of viewers watch that crap ITV2 show anyway.

I don't like her, I thought she was a beeyatch when Matthew was in the phone box and said he wasn't bothered about his personal item and to ask the others.

Instead of saying what they actually said "we will back him whatever he wants to do" she told Matthew "they are putting it back on you" and then said "well I want my item".

Selfish cow, it wasn't her that had gone through 2 horrid trials and had had enough.

BIB: That's hardly her fault though is it.

Matthew did ask and she gave an honest answer and then he wanted to carry on, I also think that the winning of a challenge & the meal raised Matthew's spirits so it was a bit of a win-win situation.

Selfish? She was just being honest. And, as it turned out, it motivated Matthew and he did brilliantly and ended up feeling 100% better after the disappointment of the earlier tasks. Win-win.

If you don't like her, just say, instead of manufacturing lame reasons to dislike her.

I agree. It is a shame people need to resort to name calling, like 'bitch', or 'cow', to make their point.

Particularly when Lucy has done nothing to earn it.

The thing was she wasn't honest. She didn't repeat what was said but a version of it that made her come across a tad passive aggressive tbh. The fact that Matthew went for it and won and maybe felt good about that is irrelevant as she wasn't doing it to achieve that but simply to get her pillow.

Kian actually won the food by the way. Matthew won the luxury gifts for some of his camp mates and I didn't feel he was that elated with that just pleased to have got the job done for Lucy particularly.

Having said all that I don't think she's a bitch and I don't even mind her near emotional black mail to get her pillow because after all she is just human which seems to be being forgotten on here with the almost push to give her a saint hood.

If I was a believer in conspiracy theories I might think that the after show wants Lucy to win as their unreasonable calling her a bitch seems to have resulted in a massive back lash that could indeed give her the win

What rubbish. No one is trying to make her out to be a saint or anything like. When did a liking for facts become a push for sainthood?

So annoying that she has to be defended for being normal.

I know she is normal That is the point I'm making but normal people have failings and in the instance being talked about she misrepresented what the camp said to Matthew in order to manipulate him into going for the task.

I'm all for facts.

She didn't manipulate him at all .. Matthew said he wasn't bothered about his luxury item.. But if the others were he would do the task.. She told him her item was important to her and he said he would do the task then.. And he did it brilliantly .. No emotional blackmail or manipulation

He said he didn't want to do the task but asked what his camp mates thought about it. Lucy asked them and they were understanding of his feelings and said they would back whatever his decision was. Lucy relayed this as they had said the ball was in his court and it was his decision. You could hear his frustration at that response as he wanted their backing.

In the end he did it because Lucy manipulated him. That's what happened.

Oh dear, seems like the editing is really working for some people.
