It was ok, but slow, and too long by about 30 minutes.

Does that 30 minutes include the adverts?

Presented by the charisma free zone that is Richard Bacon, and featuring (again)Chris Tarrant and Fatty Feltz! Nice to see Simon Gregson outside of 'the street' but I don't think I will be watching this again.Probably watch something on Dave instead, you can't see Q.I or Top Gear too often!

I liked Telly Addicts back in the day, this wasn't too bad to start off, but by the end I wasn't really caring. Surely a format of 2 teams consisting of Joe public/families pitting their wits against each other based on knowledge of TV would be better.
* I know, lets just bring back Telly Addicts please!! *

There is hardly a home made TV programme on these days that doesn't include so called "celebrities" doing something or other. I can only assume some of them are falling on hard times or afraid they're dropping out of the public eye.

sadly Its no Telly Addicts
No it isn't TA is it?...

Poorly produced on a cheapo set, an inane presenter who looks out of his depth, far too much infantile yacking....

Wont be watching again ITV, bring back Tipping Point..

I lasted til the first question!

The set had a telly addicts look to it, but that's the only resemblance.
Sign of the times. You'd never have got 'reality TV' as a subject in Telly Addicts. They didn't exist in those days.

Richard Bacon is looking old.

Wonder if this programme will feature in the telly review part of his radio show.

Chris Tarrant is celeb team captain for all 20 shows in this series.

This is a very dull half ars*d programme. Even the legends...haha Andi Peters Denise Van Outen.., as Bacon referred to them, looked as though they wished they weren't there....and their knowledge of tv was pretty poor. Cant see this being recommissioned zzzzzz

I can't see this lasting at all. Other than Telly Addicts, TV themed game shows always seem to tank. This looks a lot like one the BBC tried a few years ago - Johnathan Ross was on it and part involved the teams standing in a giant TV frame and miming show titles, if anyone remembers? I think there was another one a few years before that too, also on the BBC.

The atmosphere reminds me of the daytime editions of Monkhouse's Wipe Out, when there was in fact no audience and just a lot of pregnant pauses for applause sound effects to be edited in later. Its slow, ponderous and the participants look reluctant to be there. Bacon has never been a good presenter but here he looks practically apologetic for the whole thing.

This show makes Tipping Point look good.

Actually Tipping Point is a good quiz show and works very well, the contestants (public and celeb) are clearly enjoying the thing and it's a nice bit of fun.

Bring back Tipping Point!

Anyone remember "A Question Of TV" hosted by Gaby Roslin, based on the format of "A Question of Sport".

I think he's looking pretty good I think he's a lot better looking than when he was younger. He's turned into something of a guilty crush .....still hasn't turned iinto a great presenter though. I agree with the poster who said he seems almost apologetic.

As well as that, the 'telly lovers' don't seem to know all that much imo. I answered almost every question on the show correctly, even about shows I don't watch. It just didn't seem like they know that much about different types of TV.......perhaps they just have a life, though

Dear me, some of the questions on this makes the ones on the celebrity version of The Chase look difficult! The questions seem too detailed as well, the question starts fair enough, then they give more info that gives you a big hint.

Is it me or have some of the tv lovers been on other quiz shows? Today's Mel has been on something else and it is driving me mad trying to remember. Any ideas?

Mel was on 'Perfection' for an incredible length of time (eleven shows or something like it) before getting to play the game (she lost!) then she turned up on 'Tipping Point' (and was first off,if I remember rightly!) and then I was told she was on TWO other shows soon after, but I don't watch whatever shows they happened to be, so have no comment!

Can someone please remind me about perfection? The name sounds familiar but i cant think of the show.

It really bugged me because i immediately recognised mel. When it said she was a nurse i wondered if she worked where i worked (long shot but hey) but then i recognised the lady with spikey hair too. I assumed they were on a show together maybe and thats where i recognised them both from.

Eta perfection, nick knowles. I just remembered! Maybe i do recognise her from there but im sure the other lady was visually more memorable. Now trying to think of any shows they could have been on together. All i can think of is million pound drop but thats just a guess.

A new game show "Show Me The Telly" starts on Monday (25 Nov), presented by Richard Bacon,

The show tests how much celebrities know about television to win up to £3,000 for charity. Chris Tarrant leads a team of celebrities each episode against a team of civilian contestants.

This from itv press release:

"Show Me The Telly is the television archive-fuelled quiz that pits the wits of a team of TV Lovers against a trio of TV Legends.

Each day, host Richard Bacon presides over three time-served TV know-it-alls captained by Chris Tarrant who are all looking to display their prowess as they play against a team of friends, family or colleagues all trying to outdo them with their impressive knowledge of TV trivia and hopefully walk away with £3000 at the end of the show."

Its been a while since we had a TV themed quiz, I miss Telly Addicts, I love TV and even Telly Stack, just wish I had seen the search for contestants earlier.
