Yes, sickening is the right word.

Oh I remember him, I have Can't Buy Me Love on dvd.

Actually I remember watching that thinking he was quite a hot geek...then fast forward to Greys Anatomy...who knew?? Me actually.

Please don't associate the lovely Mr D with that Essex man child. *shudders*

Totally agree, I am fed up with him. We don't get to see the others. They choose their winner and the rest get very little air time.

The only way it will stop being the Joey Show is if people stop voting for him to do the trials.

I don't think thats gonna happen so we'll have to wait until the celebrities start choosing who does each task.

I have watched every year since day dot and this is the first year that I am not bothered if I miss an episode or three, in fact I haven't watched an entire episode of this series yet and that's down to Joey Essex, his OTT character and the amount of airtime he is getting is very contrived which is a shame because we expect this sort of thing from other reality shows but I'm a celeb always seemed reasonably genuine till now :/

At least yesterday's episode did have those mini tasks involving everyone else, but we still have to see clips of everything ridiculous Joey says, just so we can cut back to Ant and Dec to see their reaction.

I have stopped watching because of him. Absolutely cannot bear him.

I remember loving Helen on the second series of Big Brother, not particularly bright but seemingly very sweet and naive (until the whole cheating on boyfriend thing kicked in!)

Joey is just an act - playing on being thick because it's "funny". It isn't funny.

Anyone else longing to hear someone say something funny that isn't just stupid? Remember wit?

Yes me! Or maybe a debate, that doesn't get stopped in it's tracks by an inane question from 'it's-all-about-meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee'.

It won't happen - because those with the purchasing power that the producers have deliberately set out to grab the attention of (the younger fans of TOWIE - who seem to think anything shallow and apparently thick is something to aspire to) are more inclined to have his number on speed-dial regardless of the cost. They've a closed mind - as soon as Joey was announced - they'd made their minds up to vote for him regardless of anyone else. Its the same with that coarse bint who won CBB - and I didn't mind that as Big Brother (all varieties) is something I stopped watching ages ago - I find it annoying though with IAC as I really enjoy this show - I'd enjoy it even if they had a dozen people I'd never heard of before because I like the show itself.

What I am sick of is the producers making the tasks EASIER for Joey - I really wouldn't be surprised if tonight we see hands appearing from nowhere handing the stars to the wee little embryonic poppet!

I've caught a few snippets from Matthew and David but everyone else in there seems to be sucking up to the Essex lad (who is playing them like a fiddle).

I'm not sure that Steve and Rebecca are doing that. More like they are giving him enough rope to hang himself

You may be right about Rebecca but even Steve is a bit (or has the potential) to be a wee bit of a crawler - if only for the sake of self-preservation in the show (and it disappoints me as at the beginning of the show - Steve was my second favourite after Matthew).

I think one thing that annoys me the most is that with the public constantly voting for the same person to do the trials we don't get to see a lot of the others and the next thing that happens is one of the lesser spotted celebs are voted out, because they were deemed too quiet when in fact we just never got to see them in action because the producers just won't change the rules a bit. If you are voted to do 2 trials then you should be exempt from the next one?

I think they are all smart enough to be aware of the fanship of these Towie type characters and the airtime they will get. Also being voted for all the tasks so far would be a good indication of that favouritism. Therefore I think Steve is wise enough to see what's going on and being a snooker player, he knows how to play it safe (pun intended)

However, he's also made some astute references to 'planet Joey' and also how he can't wait to see how the other campmates take to Joeyisms. I don't think Steve dislikes him and probably finds some of his antics amusing, but I can see that wearing thin with all of them before long, including Steve.

Matthew Wright is onto him now, I am delighted the camps are now merged. Now watch Matthew expose him.

I really hope this happens but they may not want to be not popular with the public with speaking out against him. So I do hope at least one of them does!!

Rebecca was getting a backlash on twitter last night because she felt uncomfortable watching Amy and Joey. The tweets said she was horrible and jealous.

Lol if people stop watching because of him then theres even more chance he'll win as anyone that doesn't like Joey will just not watch and anyone that does like Joey will vote for him!

Oh the 'jealous' word. She offered to give him a shoulder/neck massage and was completely ignored by him, very rude.

He won't win because he is just annoying people now with the act over doing it. The anti vote will have a huge part to play.

If you saw Steve on the spin off show last night answering questions - he was very careful not to say anything bad about Joey, but you felt that he didn't believe the act that Joeys was playing!
