Will 2014 be the year Alex makes her "comeback"?
No matter what fans say her last album/singles were flops!!

The girl has sooo much potential. Will 2014 be her year? What type of music should she release? Should her focus be on America? Is she even making music anymore?

Yes a single has been chosen and she's filming the video in the next couple of weeks.

I think it will be. People who follow her will know that there's been a hell of a lot of changes and things going on behind the scenes. She's away from Syco and with better people.

I think it would be nice for her to have a BIG comeback so I have my fingers crossed.

When I read comments on forums or videos of hers, the general feeling is that she is disliked as a person.

I've never really understood why 'cause she always seems decent when I've seen her.....

EVERYTHING was fine until "OK. dot com" on X Factor - everyone made such a hoohah and from then on she was "up herself"....plus a lot of the 2nd album was just ok.

Well the music industry is unpredictable. Who could have predicted J.Lo and Maroon 5 could have such big comebacks.

Alex is hard-working and doesn't give up on what she wants. She is signed to Kevin Liles' management company, the guy who discovered and mentored Jay-Z, Kanye, Estelle, Trey Songz, Young Jeezy who have all become successful acts in America. Alex's new label hasn't been revealed yet, but there have been some pretty interesting hints/links to some big names.

Plus her first single is ready and she is shooting the video within weeks. She is also close to completing her 3rd album, which she has been working on with Rico Love, Swizz Beatz, Vinylz (Jay-Z producer), Allen Ritter (Drake producer), Dre & Vidal (Mariah, Ciara, Usher), Jerry Duplessis (Whitney, Mary J, Keri Hilson), so she has picked herself up and got right back into focusing on her career.

I hope so, I totally went off her music after Let It Go but I love her personality and she seems so nice and I want her to do well.

I would love it if it was to all happen for her, but sadly, she isn't liked as a person. That won't help.

Don't say that on here, she is akin to some sort of Demigod on this forum.

She's focusing on America. Everyone hates Cher Lloyd in the UK, but it didn't stop her finding success in America, and Alexandra is far more talented than her so I don't think it will stop her either.

Success isn't about talent, otherwise Alexandra would of been bigger by now, but...she isn't.

Unfortunately Alexandra has a lot of work to do, and if she cant even crack the UK with her latest album - whilst Cher could - then I doubt it will work out well for Alex, new material or not.

Cher has not released a 2nd album in the UK, didn't Epic push it back indefinitely? I don't even think she has released a new single here, whereas Elephant did very well with very little airplay.

A lot of people thought Alex would be over after her 2nd album, but she's already working to build on her career with some very big industry names.

Success isn't defined by talent, but career longevity is to an extent, and I think Alex has talent on her side.

I have every faith that she could with the right material, If like me (And all the fans in the Alex AP) you follow her every move, you would know about all of the cool things she has been doing in the states and the positive moves she's been making. She's absolutely determined to be big again which I think will work in her favour.

Her voice is just too good to not be heard around the world! -

To be fair I would class Cher Lloyd as a one-hit wonder. Her fanbase in the US got lazy after the release of Want U Back because all her other releases haven't exactly had the success its had. Though I would blame that partially on Epic but for a new artist like Cher - who's had one hit, you still need to be requesting the song on radio. It shows there's demand for the track and it usually results in radio stations giving it spins and that's where I think her fanbase failed her. + She only really appeals to teenagers.

Definitely, she hasn't been sitting around at all. I'm excited to hear her new single tbh.

Same here! The fact that it might be a big ballad is so exciting

This is what I think. However, I may be proved wrong.

I hope she realises an album of real soul as she has such a soulful voice. I couldn't stand her second album, all that bland soulless electronic dance stuff with rent-a-rappers - all one huge yawn to me and such a waste of potential when she's so talented. She needs damn great songs that really show off her fantastic voice.

I agree that her second album was mostly soulless and wasn't the right genre for her voice, but there weren't actually any rap features so I'm not sure what you mean by "rent-a-rappers". I agree though that she needs to stay as far away from EDM as humanly possible.
