BBM Battery Usage GS4
Has anybody else noticed their battery draining a lot faster since installing BBM? I used to be able to get 10 hours out of my Samsung galaxy battery now I'm lucky if I can get 5 hours. Although when I check for what's draining my battery BBM isn't even on the list. Just wondering if it's just me as I can't seem to find anybody else with this problem?

It's a tricky area - many possible explanations.
The easiest test would be to uninstall BBM for a few days and see if things improve? I've yet to try BBM - can't see the point for me. I guess if you still have any stalwart blackberry users that don't use other messaging systems to contact it would be handy If you're quite technical search for "XDA better battery stats" on google - there's an excellent tool that can help identify issues that wouldn't immediately show up in the android battery graph - two causes are a) The app is poorly written and is keeping the device awake unnecessarily (you'll notice this as a high wake time) b) The app is sending/receiving lots of data constantly (even a small amount every few seconds), which keeps the device awake AND will drain power on wifi or 3G |

I must admit that I have noticed my phone's battery draining quicker and wondered what it was but it has been a recent occurence and I installed BBM ~ 1 week ago so may be that is the cause but as like you it is not appearing on the list.
