It's actually quite depressing to see someone with such an utter lack of intellectual curiosity. I hate to use the word stupid , maybe vacuous is a better word. He said he only knows things that you "need to know" , how could anyone have an enjoyable conversation with someone who has a thought process that works like this? He's probably not a mean spirited person , but I don't understand his mindset at all. It's like when people take pride in the fact that they don't read , it's really nothing to be proud of to be just completely void of knowledge or a desire to gain knowledge. I feel very sorry for him if he truly is as vacuous as he appears. But who knows , maybe he's secretly a genius milking an act for all it's worth? But even that's kind of sad because it shows this attitude is celebrated.

I think what is sadder is that people like and watch thick people or people acting thick and that is what gives them oxygen.

The lad has learning difficulties. Granted I think he sometimes exaggerates them but he isn't thick/stupid.

Everyone seems to be using that excuse these days. A lot of these people don't have learning difficulties at all, they just couldn't be bothered to learn when they were in school.

He genuinely does have learning difficulties. As well as this, at the age of 10, he experienced a huge family tragedy involving his mother meaning that a lot of his school life was disrupted.

He is not intelligent enough to play the dim card to get votes. After all this is the man who thought Jesus' mother was called Zesus.
If he has learning difficulties, thats a shame but he has made enough money by now to have educated himself.

I know plenty of people that have learning difficulties but still have an interest in learning about the world around them , it's not the lack of knowledge that is most grating it's the complete lack of realization that he should be embarrassed to not know these things , not think it's endearing.

I wasn't even aware that blowing your nose was a skill that had to be learned , I thought it was just something people did I've seen some people say about his mother sadly passing away when he was ten , but surely you learn ( again really?? you have to "learn" this???) to blow your nose and tell the time before you're ten???
