I've just updated my box but,it may seem a silly question, how do you record internet channels?
Am I being naive in thinking that pressing 'Record' should enable this? I don't have Infinity/BT Sport or is this required? EDIT: Just found this on the BT Community Forums http://community.bt.com/t5/YouView-f...s/td-p/1089512 Nowhere does it mention Infinity and the software version shown is what I have. What I don't have are the BT Extra TV channels which can be found in the guide from channel 400 onwards which, I assume, are only available with Infinity |

Cool. Been looking forward to them finally enabling recording and time-shifting of the internet channels.
Just now searched for the update and it downloaded. Box now reports:

Yep you can only subscribe to the internet channels if you have Infinity.
But still the software version is as shown above |

Yes, works just fine. Can record two hd itv channels at once via my home plugs whilst watching and time shifting a terrestrial hd channel.
Impressed. |

Fine, but this is not made clear either on the email I received from Youview Update or in the link I gave to the BT forums.
But still the software version is as shown above |

I'm noticing the box is a bit sluggish when busy recording internet channels. Kinda expected I guess.

You do realise that 'Youview update' is a privately run service not associated with Youview?
The Twitter feed announced the software update way before BT or YouView released any information, and also provided details of the app updates which I don't think anyone else has publicised.

Yes you can record a IP TV Channel now which has made the BT Youview a fully working PVR in that we can record all channels on EPG....
Great news for Christmas shows Recordings .... |
