Bush Tucker Trials - YAWNFEST
Not quite sure when it happened but at some point the bsuh tucker trial aspect of the show just completely took over from everything else.
Sometimes there is a funny moment during a bush tucker trial - a lot of the time its same old same old. Between reading the blasted telephone voting numbers out, the ad breaks, the slightly tiresome links and the bush tucker trials we seem to get left with about 10 minutes a night tops of "normal camp life" footage. I wish they would change this as it would make show so much more entertaining. Alas it's ITV and they think we need to see Ant n Dec's scripted "jokes", hear phone numbers and see people eating Ostrich dicks every 5 minutes. It's really quite an eye opener watching shows like this, XF and SCD over an extended time, it's only then you realise how they NEVER deviate from the "format" as presumably they thik the viewer couldn't take it. |

it would be alright if we had live feed, I remember the night Fash the Bash did 1000 press-ups on live feed while the others sat around smoking ciggies

They need some new trials and they definitely need to scrap the eating ones. I've had it with watching them eat revolting things and retch, it's just not entertaining.

The remembering task was as dull as dishwater and the bugs 'n' rice task only works with squeamish celebs.
The tasks look elaborate and expensive, but lack imagination. |

I watched a bit on Monday and have not been in or recorded anything since. It was just exactly the same as it was years ago, eat this kangaroo scrotum, gag on it, go back to camp and have no meals. There is no time in the format for the slebs to interact or show what they can do and it's exactly the same as in previous series. Same place. Same clothes. Same everything. Another problem is it's a Channel 5 level cast with reality trash on it. I am bored of it and not interested in any of the participants - usually I'm easily pleased too - so I don't think I'll watch now.

As Joey has succeeded in the trials he's already done I'm surprised the GBP have voted him to do another. Don't they usually pick on someone who's going to crack up, freak out and not win any stars just for the entertainment value ? With Joey, alright, he's dim, but we aren't getting the 'drama'.

To be fair, I think it's the biggest reason a lot of people watch the show as it's the part of the show where the celebrities are the furthest from luxury. Compare that to when we see footage of the celebs in the camp, laying out in the sun without a care in the world and I can see why some prefer to see the trials and why ITV appear to give them such prominence.
