Nope, didn't see that. Saw someone who went the extra mile (even when he would have been excused for giving up. considering the two days he'd had) and was finally able to return with something to show for his efforts.

Last night made me really like him.

I am surprised he didn't tell them he even let his opponent have a nap while he kept watch.

He sarcastically commented that he'd paced round all night with no sleep for a lump of plastic. It was funny I thought that his luxury item was a 2 quid muscle massager.

I'll volunteer to give him a proper martyr send off.
Although he is already doing a very good job of singeing on his stake

He was just having a laugh, just like when he said the other night 'I've already eaten' after the eating task.

Everything he comes out with is witty (without pretending to be a moron in doing so). He was spot-on when he said to Amy (re Steve's toothpicks) 'What a bloody waste of a luxury item' - I'm sure Amy was a bit hacked off at it too. I mean - it isn't as if they have much food to pick out of their teeth.

And the massager was for David.

Yes that is how I saw it too. He is a quick thinker with a sharp/sarcastic sense of humour, This comes across when he is doing live television. He can see the ridiculous in situations and does not mind saying so even if others may not like it.

He was grumpy during the "trial" but understandable as he had exerted himself, and used up loads of nervous energy doing 2 horrible trials.

Did you notice how, when the camps merged, the first person Amy made a beeline for was Matthew? The girl has taste - a real man at last - she must have got a bit tired of being Joey's carer in the first camp. I mean - the next thing he would have been having her do would have been to change his nappy.

Also thought it was cute he wanted to get Lucy's pillow despite Lucy not even trying in her task.
