How truly pathetic. Didnt take any notice of my remarks re Amy.
I never go on twitter. Have no time for it but this forum is getting as nasty as it appears to be.
You really should take a look at yourself. Obviously you must be male or you would know how women feel and how they empathise with other women who feel bad about themselves,
If you read my post properly, I said if she felt bad about herself she could do something about if she wanted to.
Talk about over reaction. Really this forum is so sad .
I give up I really do.

Pendleton is stunning. Rebecca does need to grow thicker skin IMO.

There are plenty of pretty girls with low self image. It's to do with how you look at yourself, not what other people say about you.

I've seen nothing about Amy to come to a conclusion that she's a "nasty cow" . That description seems to apply to Lucy more. As for Rebecca - I like her and admire her achievements, but would like to see her without the victim mentality.

I give up too. Your the person here telling someone to get plastic surgery. In my books that's not a nice thing to say. You should empathise with other woman who feel bad about themselves.

I didnt moan dear. Really this is getting so tedious.
It was Rebecca for the hundreth time that moaned about her nose Read my post.

That's very sad to know and I'm sorry to know that, I was bullied throughout my high school years.

I do feel Lucy (more so) and Rebecca tried to make Amy feel bad for being a beauty queen which I think is wrong.

There is never an exception regarding bullying, what ever the perceived reason.

I wasn't talking about this show... I said on another show.. So far Amy has been ok ..and I don't think Lucy has been a bitch either.. I don't have a problem with people asking others questions about what they do etc..

Bitchy women again
Plus if Rebecca feels bad about herself, have a nose job. I know I would.”

Not everything is Lucy's fault, you do know that, don't you?

To go back to the original point, of course she shouldn't have to apologize for her looks, no more so than someone else being criticized over their lack of perceived beauty.

2 points. Firstly with everyone being together in cramped quarters conversations like this are bound to become a focus as they have nothing else to do with their time.

Secondly it is harmful to be bullied in any way, and girls get it all the time at school with how they look. I don't blame them for being angry, because they must see the pretty and the popular girls who bullied them, and it's not nice.

I think she told her that just to comfort her. And yeah, I agree re your

Really, I just found it so tedious and neither Lucy nor Rebecca came across at all well imo. Have a rational conversation about the 'beauty industry' by all means but include Amy rather than targeting her as if she's personally to blame for other people's insecurities.

Being bullied can scar a person for life.. I do hope it hasn't done that to you.. I enjoyed the discussion because we got to hear both sides .. There was no raised voices ....Appeared to be an open discussion and Amy didn't appear to be upset by it

Let's get real, most people aren't as pretty as Amy. Should she feel bad because she's better looking than Rebecca and Lucy? I don't think so.”

I haven't once said she should, have I? I don't dislike Amy at all, but her looks are neither here nor there to me.

Who's telling Rebecca to get a nose job?
The OP, for one.
Countless FMs on a lengthy thread about her in the Showbiz forum.
People who Tweet her every day telling her so.

Lots of girls have nose jobs or other things cos they feel bad about themselves. Its their life.”

Exactly, its her life - therefore its her choice whether she gets a nose job or not, regardless of whether you would in her position.

It was in this case. She went on too long and upset Rebecca.

She wasn't just asking her. She was saying things like you are perpetuating the problem by looking the way you do and entering those competitions. It was not a debate, it was more like her and Rebecca were blaming her for their insecurities.

Hmmm. Thing is in 10 years time Amy might be an ugly boot but Rebecca will still be an Olympic gold medalist

Can you imagine how much flack Rebecca would get in the public eye if she did get a nose job?

She mentioned twitter. No one forces anyone to go on Twitter and when you have a public profile, you have to expect comments like that.

I do think she should try and get over her purported inferiority looks wise.

Both good points Aside from the "ugly boot" bit, I think conventional good looks like Amy's might age well.

Exactly it's her life. I am allowed to say I think what I would do - if you don't mind.
What a lot of bullying going on in this forum. Full of nasty mean people.
I'm not coming on here again to be pounced on cos I make a well meaning remark.
I have missed my follow up programme. So have a good moan all by yourselves.
Notice there were a few rational posts on here that kept to the topic of my post. Thank you for that..

Their publicists all advise twitter now. No, she isn't forced, but I am sure that she's been told to have a twitter account, even if she doesn't run it herself.

I have to say I agree with the OP's sentiments (bar the nose job bit); Amy shouldn't be made to feel bad because she's pretty. Rebecca and Amy both excel in their chosen 'fields' - so what if one of those is beauty pageants?
