I'd rather spend time with Rebecca than Amy

Very good point. I think Amy must feel very self-assured and confident because society has deemed her a beautiful woman. In fact, the Miss Universe competition is validation of that in itself. She has to be careful of being over-confident. (Not saying she is or has been shown to be, but perhaps something we've not seen has rubbed the girls up the wrong way). It could just be that even if she were a life-size cardboard cut-out, it would have the same effect of an ever reminding of her fellow female campmates flaws in the beauty stakes. Who really wants to wake up to a female Madonna everyday to remind themselves how unworthy they are in comparison? This is not Amy's fault, but insecure women might feel that way. Rebecca for example.

Rebecca on the otherhand, needs to grow a thicker skin and value herself more and get out of the victim mode status. It doesn't serve her well and lessens any respect that people have for her if she herself can't rise above the comments made about her.

Just my tuppence worth.

Amy got 3 A's at A-Level and always comes across fairly articulate to me. Certainly not your typical Helen Flanagan/Katie Price attention seeking model.

I should imagine she is quite bright. When she said to Lucy that she enjoyed a debate, it was with the air of someone who has had vigorous debates many times about her chosen career and is happy to do so. But to be extremely beautiful in an environment where looks are intensely focused on requires a certain delicacy of touch, and I don't think she is there yet.

to be fair, she has been hanging around with Joey most of the time we have seen her, even a pissed up slug would seem articulate

I wouldn't care what IQ Joey had.........as long as he kept bringing home the stars so I could eat something other than rice and beans

I don't think she's there to make others feel better about themselves, that's up to them; just as it's not her job to make them feel inferior to her.

Exactly , nor is Amy responsible for how other people feel about themselves . Thats down to them . I am no beauty , never was but never felt the need to make anyone else feel responsible for my own insecurities .Its a real shame that Rebecca hasnt got the strength, or the guidance maybe , to lift her head and toss it to the world and feel good .Then bulllies will pry on a "victim " personality .They seldom bully the strong and confidents ones and Rebecca , bless her , would benefit from knowing how to handle herself with confidence

I think Amy's down to earth as well. Amy hasn't been at all arrogant as far as I've seen. I think she's got an okay personality as far as I've seen.

I agree.

It is stupid to create a false Rebecca vs Amy situation here, when neither one was creating one there, certainly not Amy.
It is sad that Rebecca has a low self esteem, and she has been bullied and harassed, but that is not Amy's fault at all.

Oh the hypocrisy. I've just watched'loose women' and and they've been discussing this programme and the body issue. And Carol Vorderman is/was getting on her high horse about beauty pageants, not modelling but women been paraded like"cattle" .

It's not as though she has been showing her backside for mags and papers as"rear of the year" is it? It does strike me as jealously and hypocrisy.

That was my first thought ,but I wasn't 100% sure. But she does parade about in ads showing her figure.

I think she has had her boobs done and some botox. Not sure if she had cheek fillers to. But I may well be wrong, so don't for heavens sake quote me on that otherwise I'll be shot down in flames if I'm dreaming it LOL!

I like both of them.

What I didn't like, was the way Lucy felt she had to start some sort of moral debate and her ridiculous comment about Amy feeling like a piece of meat. Glass houses and stones come to mind.

I'm 50/50 on this, so i'll spend the days with Rebecca, and the nights with Amy. Can't say fairer than that. Not that either of them would give me the time of day.

Indeed. Not that there's anything wrong with that ~ we all have our hang ups but people like that can get tiring to be around. I'd much rather prefer to spend my time in Amy's company if I had to choose ......

I got that feeling as well. Bloody hell it's not like she's ugly - but the way she goes on about it puts you right off.

Don't know what that thing was when Amy sat next to her either - twas very strange.

I'd want to be friends with Becky over Amy too but that's because I feel i would have more in common with Becky than Amy, no other reason
