Ben and Abbey for the dance off.

For what it's worth:

Abbey: bad music choice, costume did nothing for her. She did well considering that, but lacked a bit of attack for me.

Ashley: Well done Ola, lovely routine. Not sure on having franticness in a Waltz though. I didn't notice the head thing myself but he seems to look terrified whenever he does Ballroom.

Ben: Did a bit more dancing tonight, but it was a little dull.

Mark: Performance great as always, but his hold seemed a little off to me. It was as if his arm that was maintaining the hold (ie not the one around Iveta's side) was too far forward.

Natalie: Awful song, not a good dance. I was with Craig that it lacked any drama and she seemed to mess up a few times (or at least it looked that way). It was a bit boring to watch and she was definitely overmarked. I would have had her below Ashley to be honest.

Patrick: His hold seemed to disappear again. I don't know why Anya keeps putting standing spins in as he never looks comfortable doing them. I looked for Anya's feet going off the floor but couldn't see that.

Sophie: I can see what the judges were saying about the lack of chemistry. Sophie tried her best, but she seemed really uncomfortable. I didn't feel the connection that I did with Abbey's Rumba.

Susanna: Bad music choice, and some iffy choreography from Kevin perhaps. Although I'm not sure what they could have done really. It reminded me of their Samba that just didn't work for some reason.

Sent all my votes to Mark. Really hope that Ben ends up in bottom 2 with Sophie/Susanna just to make sure that he goes out (Mark can go next week).

We have a tub of flying saucers here (which were landing on my chest thanks to my best mate coming over to watch Strictly!)

Hope Mark goes this evening - I have gotten bored of his dances as he doesn't really make the steps cleanly. Sophie's Rumba was fabulous. I saw emotion in her face, I was completely drawn into their dance.

Anyway.. off to grab another home made mince pie... anyone want one?

Bump to get the real spoiler thread to the top again.
I don't usually comment, but I enjoy reading the chat while we wait.

I don't want Susanna to go this week.

Obviously bearing in mind Natalie missed a week, I will put her score as it would have been had she scored at least her average for the jive; her average is 32 for the 9 weeks. Averages in brackets.

1. Abbey, 299 (33)
2. Susanna, 294 (33)
3. Ashley, 288 (32)
4. Natalie, 285 (with average score for jive added in 317) 32 average
4. Sophie, 285 (32)
6. Patrick, 281 (31)
7. Ben, 247 (27)
8. Mark, 231 (26)

The bottom two could be a surprise tonight - I really hope that Ben and Patrick are both safe though

I too thought Sophie looked a tad uncomfortable in that rumba. (Sent all my votes to Ben )

it's very tempting to keep adding posts to it to see if we can make it a happy place as well.

I mostly usually lurk on this thread, with only the occasional post. Then I look for the spoiler first thing in the morning, and post a big thankyou. So, although I don't participate much, I love this thread, and find the "pretender" obnoxious and unnecessary. So I am posting this rubbish to bump this thread to the top again. (And I may well do it again, and again and ........................)

Twitter seems to think Sophie and Abi will be the bottom two, which means a visit to bad Brendon

Thanks for adding me Monaogg

I don't know how you & the others keep it updated so well.

Loved Sophie tonight, hope she's not in danger. I fear Mark and Ben could be dancing again. Susannah seemed to be a little out of sorts.

Can I just add that I love love love this thread, just the way it is.

Thought it was just me. 30 minutes in and I'm none the wiser the only thing I've understood so far is the opening credits. On second thoughts.......
