Maybe just stood there was a bit of an exaggeration, but as far a dance moves went he did very little, the odd stompy walk and picking Kristina up over his head was about it. Kristina has mastered the art if distraction, look at me, don't notice my partner can hardly lift or swivel his legs...

I thought they would be the bottom two, I didn't think Mark would survive though!

I like Mark a lot, despite his limitations, he is a decent dancer I think, but not sure he really has further room for improvement and this was his third time in the bottom 2 on the trot.

I also like Ben, but despite some of the impressive looking lifts, I did say to my boyfriend that his actual dancing is pretty poor - he either doesn't do much, or looks awkward. That said, I think he potentially had more room for improvement than Mark, despite Mark being the better dancer. Surprised that he went and I actually think he should have stayed for one more week,

Anyway, what do I know? It's just fun being an arm chair critic!

Thanks for the spoiler, I had an early night last night so OH was on strict instructions to keep an eye on the thread and call out result during one of my toilet stops (am pregnant, so becoming more frequent!)

On the other hand, nothing wrong in ensuring that once the result is in, it can easily be found somewhere on every page of this thread. That way, those who can't get here until way after the result don't need to hunt it down. It is the SPOILER thread after all, so let's spoil

Mark and Ben in Dance Off, Ben eliminated.”

Fair comment.

Yes, Bruno coming out in his remarks and saying something along the lines of 'see you in the final' when pretty much every other couple got critiqued a lot more than in previous weeks just made the bias even more blatant for me. I just didn't connect with her dance this week either - enjoyed Sophie's and Abbey's much more.

How much public support for Natalie are people seeing beyond this forum?

Yeah I noticed this morning it had sunk without a trace... Now if we can have multiple people in time choices that would be faberoo....

In the wider world I haven't come across any Natalie support. Seems to be all about Susanna and Sophie as far as I can gauge on a small cross section of typical voters. Ashley as well, but not as much.

Well, the bookies have got her as favourite. That would indicate that more money is going on her to win than any of the others.

Well that was a surprise, but thanks everyone for the spoiler, and for making in easy to find.

I'm glad Mark is still in, he never fails to perform, and whether his dance is actually up to spec doesn't seem to matter - that non-jive for instance, I totally got into it and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The only "negative" per se that I ve seen outside of the forum amongst similar SCD nuts re: Natalie is stand out good 'uns from early on tend to fall right at the final hurdle... and it's not really a negative - just a bit of an observation.

I personally have no issue with her on the show - had no issue about DVO either... I think there was just one SCD result i really took issue with and that was Tom Chambers and that was more to do with the cock-up the week before the final... he shouldn't have been in the final IMHO ...

Now has anyone got any Fondant Fancies knocking around? I need a bit of breakfast!

I blame John Sergeant leaving and judges favouring Lisa. Having a dance off when there are only three couples left is the most stupid thing the PTB could do.

Without the various permutations of these issues there would have been a Tom, Austin & Rachel final.

If the judges are as cynical as I think they saved Mark because Ben may have had a bounce vote next week. Two better dancers may then have been in the dance off. Mark is their insurance policy.

A few pages back, a poster said that Len had the deciding vote, and chose Mark again.

I've just seen one of the best posts ever on the MailOnline page about last night's show. It sums up my feelings perfectly.

Quote:
“I do so want to make a comment about Ashley and Ola. I thought their dance was so romantic, well executed, and gorgeous to watch. Cannot believe Craig would make some outrageous comment about Ashley's head position. For God's sakes, get a grip, man. You, and the other judges, are so full of your own importance you are forgetting what the hell you're doing there. Trying to justify higher marks for favourites at the expense of those who are really trying. And what is going on with Len? Surely he never used to be this ridiculous? I always thought he had a sane opinion when I used to watch Dancing with the Stars. He has certainly lost that characteristic!!! Shame, shame, shame on all four judges. Perhaps the time has indeed come for a completely new look on the judging panel.

I have to say, given the producers pushing dance and music choices on the pros, I wonder how much pressure the judges have from the producers on pre-marking before the celebs have danced....

Heartily agree with this post. Rachel could've even won - if Vinthenth's showdance choreography was a tad better.

The only downside is we'd have never witnessed the Snowdance in all its bacofoil glory.

Lets face it most of us could run this show better than the producers, starting with the appalling music.

I have a feeling the marks are based on rehearsals rather than the show, which is why they often don't make sense.

I'll mention Aliona, she is one of my favourites alongside the mutched missed Natalie Lowe.

I was willing Kristina to get Mark, and justice was done tonight in regard to her reaction...worst pro on the series all Me,Me, ME

I have said to the OH many times that the music makes a huge difference. He says it is only the dancing that matters, but I disagree. If there is universally popular and appropriate music, I believe the viewing audience connects with the dance more, and that surely has an effect on the voting. Susanna and Kevin's paso is just one example. Conversely, obscure music has the opposite reaction, and there have been too many of those to mention.

We have Kristina's ITT/Twitter meltdowns to look forward to, too. Justice for Mark.

Sorry to be thick, but how do we know about Kristina's reaction? I must have missed something somewhere along the line.

What do people think? ETA thanks Monaogg ”

This thread is how the Spoiler has been done since I started lurking here and I love the rambling, kind of oldley worldly nature of it, this suggestion is a good idea however.
