Must say you are very on the ball

No more drunk Baby Jane getting picked up off the floor by a weightlifter.

I wouldn't immediately post the spoiler into another thread because if there are too many spoiler threads I think there's a chance they might get banned altogether.”

Well said Mrs Spratt, I did see the other thread last night but resisted commenting in it as I would have gone too far-
This regular spoiler thread has been going for years, I genuinely cannot remember a week when we did not get the result on a saturday night, it is no great hardship to start at the back of the thread and look back over the posts and on a saturday night if I have time I like to read the banter and even sometimes join in,
I personally want to thank everyone who provided the spoiler last night and to anyone that has ever provided a spoiler, everyone should appreciate their efforts, most of us do, I hope the spoiler thread continues for years to come , virtual drinkies and nibbles and all!!

Edit, slightly surprised by the result last night but am glad, Mark had more content !

Yes and no.
It could also be that more money per punter has been placed on Natalie, but not necessarily mean that more actual punters are placing bets on her.
It could also mean that the bookies are balancing this against her scores so far.
Like in a horse race, it would be madness for the bookies to have a horse with great actual potential as an outsider. Doesn't mean that the lower odds horse will win though. Bookies just hedge their bets.

Yes, I realise all that. No need to be pedantic. I also realise that outsiders often do win. But my post was in response to "How much public support for Natalie are people seeing beyond this forum?" And that was why I quoted her as the bookies favourite.

This has been Kristina's tactics since she started on the show, I hope this is her final year.

My mum is rooting for Natalie. Which means she's doomed to finish 2nd, as my mum always roots for the contestant who finishes second (except Matt Di Angelo, but she's always refused to root for anyone partnered with Flavia, and even then she was rooting for Gethin who WUZZROBBED OF SECOND etc etc).

Sorry, just pre-empting the "my mum's dog's aunt's friend was in hospital the other day and all of the nurses' boyfriends' sister's manicurists said they were rooting for Natalie" anecdotes that will no doubt follow.

Thanks for that. I'll certainly watch out for that in the DO tonight. Could well explain why Ben went and Mark stayed.

Flavia hatred ran in my family too.

Natalie has a weaker (i.e. less voter-friendly) personality than Sophie, Susanna and Scabbey. It'll be her downfall IMO.

Actually, This weeks dance was choreographed by the same two that did Sophie and Brendans.

Thanks for the spoiler, I'm a bit surprised and disappointed that Ben and Kristina are out, I know he wasn't the best dancer but I thought he was very popular and he'd make it at least to the semis. I think he got a lot of flack on here but I think he did quite well for someone whose never danced/acted before, has hearing disability and had to work around a massive height difference.

I love Mark and Iveta so I can't be too sorry that they're still in though.

Sorry! Not really being a pedant (although it probably came across that way). It was just something I'm interested in.

There are bookies in my family, so I kind of grew up learning about betting odds (and how they can't always be trusted...).

As it happens, I really won't mind that much if Natalie wins, even though she isn't my favourite (Sophie/Abbey and Ashley outside bet ). I just find her performances a little boring (and that's probably because I'm expecting them to be almost perfect anyway).

Working it out Ben could have been as high as 4th most popular with the voters and still been in the dance off.

Really ? I know that appears to be so on DS, but I wonder what it's like out in the big wide world.
The two most "Marmite" characters here ( Natalie and Susanna) seem to be the the most natural and approachable of the female contestants to me. I like Sophie, but she appears to be rather aloof, and Abbey seems to be a one of those high maintenance WAG types. In the "likeability" stakes, it may be closer than you think ?

I do feel sorry for his fans - I wouldn't say I was one but I did like him and was hoping to see him for at least a few more weeks.

Do they want Mark for the final? Bottom two two weeks running. Same marks for him and sophie( from one judge)
len does not criticise him like he does the others. he must go next week surely?

Probably because her fans on here stick to the non appreciation thread. Out in the larger forum the anti comments get tediously repetitive.

I suspect Judges being kind to Mark stops the backlash voting. They just took the opportunity to jettison Ben whilst they could.

Can I join the debate about the spoiler thread please. A few weeks ago we were on a cruise, missing 2 Saturday shows ( watched the recordings since )

When we were in port on the Sundays we had to find a wifi hotspot, which wasn't easy the first Sunday. The wifi was so slow taking half an hour to get in, so a thread that I only had to look at one page would have been really helpful. The second Sunday we were in Gibraltar and The Macdonalds next to The Morrisons had the fastest wifi we have ever found on our travels, for info incase anyone is heading that way.

In the Daily Newspage they print on board they gave us the results on the Monday which amused me as it was alongside all the important world news.

Seems a lovely genuine man but you can't get through a dance competition on pecs alone. At some point you need to dance.

Well as I said earlier, I acknowledge he was the weakest dancer there but think he did well for someone who'd never performed before.

I think very few of his performances involved getting his 'pecs out' but even so, it's no different to some of the female celebs wearing skimpy costumes in the Latin dances.

Exactly. I liked him too but its a pretty respectable position to rank. Especially considering he wasn't one of the better contestants

I don't suppose for one minute that he will be in the final, but his dancing every week is not painful to watch. He dances in time, is reasonably light footed and does turn in an entertaining performance every time - in fact I'm still surprised at the non-jive and how much I liked that routine. Somehow the lack of official steps didn't seem to matter.

He does not come across as totally inept as some of the other less capable celebrities have come across, because he has a musicality that the others simply didn't have.
