Amy is not a girl's girl

It's funny but all this furore over looks seems to me to be about personal relationships as much as anything else.

Rebecca is 25, Joey is 23 and Amy is 22. You would have thought it would be pretty easy for them to become friends, but instead Rebecca has basically been pushed out and left with the oldies.

That's not a bad thing, I think Steve Davis is pretty cool, even if he is a bit of a wrinkly, but it's got to be a bit hurtful to Rebecca that the overtures of friendship she made were rebuffed so that Amy and Joey could groom each other like chimps on heat.

I can see why Rebecca got upset when Amy came over on to Matthew's bed. It's like Amy was trying to interrupt her attempt to bond with Matthew and supercede it. Amy could have waited and talked to Matthew later, or been friendly with Rebecca when she sat down. Instead she just plonked herself down in-between them and essentially put herself between Rebecca (who is obviously not the most confident of girls anyway) and Matthew.

I don't dislike Amy for being beautiful (if that's what you like). I think she might be a bit of a cow though.

I don't think we have seen enough to tell yet, about either of them. Everyone is always on their best behaviour to start with. Joey seems about 12 years old at the moment. I can't believe Amy would be interested in him.

I think Amy would fake interest in anyone that could get her some advantage, and Joey is doing well in the trials so she's going to be keen on him for now. He's just as fake and shallow as she is though, so I think they make a good match.

Joey is a Peter Pan, child-man character and I find that really annoying. I think all the things he can't do and doesn't know are really just excuses to have other people do other things for him and a way to get attention. I don't like him much at all. He seems to me the kind of person who doesn't intentionally mean harm but causes it just by his self-centeredness.

As for right now, it's not so much the charm offensive as jostling for position in my opinion.

Rebecca had a pop at Amy for being in a beauty contest, not the way to make friends.

It was actually Lucy who initiated the argument with her comment about Amy being a piece meat. Rebecca was largely silent.

Lucy is the one we should be mad at

Besides, the roots go back to when they were in separate camps. That's when they should have been talking and making friends.

Really? What do you base that on? Can she not just be going with the flow as far as Joey's popularity is concerned, without having an ulterior motive? She plainly doesn't fancy him but seems quite happy in his company. I dislike him intensely but maybe he's more tolerable in there than the highlights indicate?

What has she done that makes you think she's fake and shallow? Genuine question as I haven't seen anything obvious to come to that conclusion.

Who has she chosen to spend her time with?

I think you're making assumptions over the situation based on really nothing.

It was indeed, and Amy said she enjoyed that kind of debate.

We've hardly seen any of them apart from the chosen one uni-tooth and Wright?

Yes she did. Can people not understand a discussion any longer? I think boredom with the chosen one has set in judging by many threads on here now.

Amy is not a girl's girl

I had a look on her twitter.

The OP isn't worth listening to. They actually dared to defend Hazel on BB. If you didn't watch it, she was vile. She attacked her supposed "friend" Charlie in there for no reason, reducing her to tears. Also kissed another women's boyfriend, called another woman in the house "ugly".

Real girl's girl there

No reason to think Amy isn't a girl's girl at all and no reason to think she isn't a nice person. Rebecca being bullied for her looks is disgusting but that is not Amy's fault at all. She shouldn't be made to feel bad for being beautiful.

But Amy sat between Rebecca and Matthew, the evil woman!

I think Amy is a user. She likes to be centre of attention and is used to being such . All you can hear when Joey goes off on another trial is ,'Good Luck Joey, you can do it, you'll be alright '..... times 10.She likes to be on air one way or another. IMO she's shallow and self centred and is keeping a lid on the real Amy. Time will tell one way or another I suppose.

So giving encouraging shout outs is now same as being a user? Because that's what I got from this post.

I would say that Amy is very aware of who is the chosen one this year. I don't believe her support/interest in him goes any further than that.

Amy is a girl's girl, she has lots of female friends judging by her Twitter account (although I don't know if they are genuine friends). Amy is most likely not interested in Joey either - she has a boyfriend called Mohamed who she was pictured with before she went in the jungle.

Any female who is immensely attractive is pre-judged as fake, shallow, a bitch etc... In my eyes she really hasn't done anything bad or "fake".

People will pick up on the liitlest things and twist them in such warped way so that there version of events seems plausible.

Rebecca accused Amy of giving her a non-existent push. She seemed very angry when she jumped off the bed.
