I so wanted Leanne to have a real go at her.

Me too but is Faye going to get away with being so hideous just because she's adopted??? ..... I seriously hope not! For goodness sake she wanted a "normal" upbringing and in most "normal" upbringings you'd be severely punished for lying and bullying.....I just can't help seeing the sickening image of Anna hugging her and asking what she wants for tea right outside the cop shop just after she decides to tell the truth about Grace

I like Anna I know that she is far from perfect but I find her character realistic.

But she is an angel, its Grace who is the horrible one. (This is what is being drummed into us by the way)

I wouldn't call her an angel, she has shown herself to be a rather unpleasant child quite often.
She has shown some reluctance to get involved as Grace has ramped-up the nastiness. She is quite obviously being bullied by Grace too. It's getting to the stage where she's joining in and lying to save herself from being the target imo.

This happened to a girl in my class at school. For years we thought they were best friends, the evil one and her sidekick. When we all left and the 'sidekick' got away, we realised she was being bullied through her entire school career. The bullied girl is one of my best friends now.
As soon as Grace appeared I recognised this relationship.

Can't stand people who cannot accept their children/partner/pets are ever, ever in the wrong and are ready to batter anyone who dare suggest otherwise. That's not love, that's egotistical delusion or some syndrome that probably has a name. Deirdre Syndrome.

I find Anna’s character realistic as well.

There are plenty of parents who believe their kid [s] can do no wrong and are angels, they believe this despite what everyone else says.

At the moment Anna is choosing to believe her daughter over everyone else. Though now there are more and more people complaining about Faye’s behaviour she is beginning to realise that something is not right but is still choosing to believe her daughter over the others.

Grace has now uploaded Simon’s bullying to the internet, it’ll be a matter of time until Anna sees the truth with her own eyes. I think she’ll be horrified with what she sees.

It’ll be interesting to see how she reacts to the video and then what she does about Faye. It will also be interesting to see what happens to Grace who in a sly and clever way is pulling all the strings to this by using the power she holds over Faye.

I think it’s a really thought provoking storyline and highlights how nasty young children can be. I just hope the ending doesn’t fizzle out and the bullying get lost as it did in Tyrone’s domestic violence and Carla’s rape case as for me both the domestic violence and rape became trivialised by affairs.

Just my sentiments here exactly. It will be interesting to see how Anna handles Fayemian but not to hopeful imo. Wonder where Owen has been as this has all be going on

You are right about the trivialising of serious occurences with affairs re Tyrone and Carla also,
It totally demeaned Tyrone's experience and did not add up. How could he have been able to think of getting involved with anyone while he was being battered at home? It sidelined it.

And the Carla affair I always found really offensive to actual victims of rape.
Getting her knickers off only several episodes after supposedly being sexually brutalised suggested that rape is something you can recover from quite snappily. SICK

I hate how she acts all innocent and well mannered when in the cafe or using people, but when she wants something she will kick your head in if it works, nasty bully who needs to be exposed as a nasty neighbour rather than the friendly neighbour image she tries to give out.

She does expose herself pretty well all the time very nicely I think and she doesn't really have any friends. But it does seem like they expect you to sympathise with the rat faced, vicious and hypocritical trout for some reason. .......Still scratching my head wondering why,lol

I used to like Anna a lot, but since they saddled her with Fayemian and the awful Armstrong clan it has really dragged her down and she's become nothing more than another screeching soap banshee.

I can kind of understand her protectiveness and unwillingness to accept Faye isn't an angel and it's natural for a mother to want to stand by their child. She knows deep down what a piece of work she can be, but I always feel that to the outside world she denies it because she knows there will be people who will automatically have a negative view of Fayemian for being a child who was in care and label her a 'problem'. I think Anna probably in a deluded way thinks she's sticking up for Fayemian and protecting her from stuff like this even though the way she behaves is doing nothing but confirm what people might think and teaching Fayemian she can get away with anything because Anna will defend her.

It's such a shame they've got Anna daggers drawn with most of the other female characters. I can imagine she could have been quite good friends with Sally and Leanne in another life.

I used to think she was a pretty decent character but she has the blinkers on where Faye is concerned. It was very touching when she got Owen to wall paper Roy's flat. The actress is pretty decent considering she her story lines blow hot and cold.

A polarising character. She's great with Roy, very supportive & obviously loves him & Hayley, but her ostrich like behaviour with Faye is appalling.

She traded in her husband (Eddie) when he wasn't getting on with Faye, so I don't have a high opinion of her. (Well, maybe they weren't married, but he didn't deserve that treatment.) Can't believe Gary rolled over and accepted that... She can be nice, but she sticks up for Faye far too much - needs to be firmer with her.

I bet Owen's cakes don't match up to Eddies.

I like Anna too. Her character is fairly realistic by Corrie standards and she can act.

Won't be long until Owen starts taking his frustrations out on her face and she then becomes a battered fish wife...

Agree....... she used to be a great character and I always wanted her to get more storylines, but don't like how nasty they have made her and that she can't see the wood for the trees where Faye is concerned.

There is something unnatural about Anna; she ditched her lovely husband, Eddie, to bring that vile brat into her life; a completely unrealistic storyline. Hopefully it will fizzle out soon..
