Is it takes two live?
Last Friday Zoe was on it takes two and then appeared in the opening scene on Children In Need only a few minutes after it takes two had finished

No ITT is not live, the Friday interviews in the SCD studio might be the only bit that is.

CIN Stared half an hour after ITT finished and Zoe only had to stand and wave at the start of it because Sir Tel and Tess presented the first bit. |

I think two/ three a week are live and the rest recorded the previous day. Or something like that. If you listen carefully before the start of the show, when the announcer goes On it does say whether it is live from London or not.

Not nearly as much of the show is live these days. Zoe is presenting the show live, but there's more prerecorded segments and the same segment might be live sometimes and prerecorded at others. If you see someone at the start of the show when all the guests are sitting together, then the segments those people are in are live. Otherwise it is likely to be prerecorded, probably just earlier that day though, so it looks like it could be live.

I think they record Tuesday's episode on Monday and Thursday's episode on Wednesday as well don't they?

It never used to be live. In Claudia's time it was usually recorded early in the afternoon of the day it went out.

There is a type of programme "recorded as live" where they run like a live programme - no retakes etc - but it is recorded.

Apart from 'breaking news', any or all of the segments could have been recorded earlier. Is ITT billed as a live show?

Tuesday's has to be filmed on the Monday. Remember Patrick saying on Tuesday's show that he hadn't started training for this week's dance? Yet on Wednesday, we saw training footage in Ian's warm-up.
