Lol.

I had been tempted to say that but didn't want to become flamebait.

You're fully entitled to your opinion. Mine is that I would like to see IOS in the next Samsung

Not necessarily what I'd like to see on their next phone as such, but I'd like Apple to recognise Giffgaff as a network provider. Then they'd be able to have their own carrier bundle and I'd be able to activate the wifi hotspot feature without needing to jailbreak. And I wouldn't be stuck on iOS 6.1.2.

Why doesn't it work on Giffgaff?

I'm pretty sure IOS would not work on that powerful a platform

I would prefer a smaller screen size or if it has to be, the size to stay the same.

3.5" was perfect - comfortable to hold and use, elegant-looking, thumb-friendly and pocket-fitting. Back in the day, all smartphones were normal sized. Now, the best spec phones are ridiculously large and it's difficult to find a normal sized phone (labelled mini) with an internal storage larger than 8GB.

Samsung don't recognize Giffgaff either, though in the end is as much up to the networks to engage the manufacturers at the other way round.

Well being as you ask…

Being as Giffgaff don't sell phones (or at least iPhones), Apple doesn't recognise them as a provider. As such, they don't have their own carrier bundle. To use Giffgaff on an iPhone, you have to use an O2 PAYG carrier bundle and then make a few changes to the data network settings. Wich is fine.

Except one thing you can't edit is whether the wifi hotspot feature is allowed. So even though Giffgaff allow tethering for their customers, being as O2 don't (on PAYG), the feature is still blocked. Only jailbreaking allows you to bypass this block. And unfortunately, the latest iOS version that could be, is 6.1.2.

Sucks.

But you can enable the wifi hotspot feature on a Samsung phone with Giffgaff, right?

A 3.5" screen looking elegant?....lol

Anyway, I have no issues using a thumb on my Nexus 5 just now typing this one handed.

would be quite novel to see what other manufacturers could do with iOS and their more advanced hardware

64 bit is so 2003. It's all about 128 bit these days and if you want to be ahead of the curve you gotta go 256-bit!

Absolutely has to have better battery life. I don't care what Apple say, I find the battery life on my 1 year old iPhone 5 to be rubbish.

Also I think it ac wifi. My Home Hub 5 has it and I would think other ISPs will roll it out soon so it'd be nice to be a me to make use of it on my phone.

I agree with the battery life being rubbish! My iPhone 5 is also one year old and it's unfortunately going through battery life like there's no tomorrow which is disappointing considering it's one of the top end mobile devices!
